Maserati and “Auto Modena” enter the Vietnamese market

Maserati is pleased to announce its entrance to the Vietnamese market and the inauguration of the first Maserati Showroom in Vietnam, operated by Auto Modena, Maserati's new and first official local dealer

Maserati is pleased to announce its entrance to the Vietnamese market and the inauguration of the first Maserati Showroom in Vietnam, operated by Auto Modena, Maserati's new and first official local dealer.

The new facility is situated in one of the most prominent areas of Ho Chi Minh City, at 1-5 Le Duan Street.

Auto Modena will distribute Maserati's entire model range: the Ghibli, the new top of the range saloon which marks Maserati’s entrance into the E segment; the Quattroporte, Maserati's luxury flagship; and the GranTurismo and GranCabrio, the models which represent the Italian Brand's traditional sporty vocation.

Fabrizio Cazzoli, Regional Director of Maserati Asia, said “With the opening of ‘Auto Modena’ as the official dealer, a new chapter in Maserati's commitment to the Vietnamese premium and luxury vehicle market is beginning. There is a growing demand for exclusive luxury cars here and this will bring new opportunities for Maserati to continue its expansion in Asia. Selecting the right partner and having great products are the foundations for success across the region. Maserati Asia is confident that Auto Modena will bring significant value to the operations in Vietnam. This new market entry is a significant step for our Brand in its 100-plus-year history.”

In 2012, Maserati sold just over 6,000 cars worldwide. With the launch of the sixth generation of the Quattroporte and the new Ghibli in 2013, this number grew to 15,400. In 2014 Maserati reached sales of 36,500 vehicles worldwide – almost six times as many as in 2012.

The South-East Asia and Pacific region played a significant part in these results. Sales in the region increased by 252% compared to 2013. The new Ghibli four door sports sedan represented 60% of total local sales.

Auto Modena provides dedicated sales and after-sales facilities which are in line with the global standard. The showroom and service team are also well trained by authorised Maserati trainers. The Vietnam opening is part of the worldwide dealer network development plan that Maserati is implementing to reach its goals of customer satisfaction and to provide a genuine Maserati experience.

Fabrizio Cazzoli also added “We will maintain our mission of extending an understated yet exclusive experience, building ultra-luxury performance automobiles with timeless Italian style, accommodating bespoke interiors, and effortless, signature sounding power. We will apply and inject our Brand values into new segments and new models going forward.”

Lam Tran, General Director of “New City Auto” (Maserati's Vietnam Importer and parent company of Auto Modena), said “We are delighted to be the official Importer for Maserati in Vietnam. We are confident in our ability to build up Maserati as an exclusive luxury Brand in Vietnam. With our professional experience and knowledge of both the region and the automotive world in general, we look forward to seeing more of these new Maserati models on Vietnamese roads for the first time. With strong vision and support from Maserati Asia, we are committed to serving the Vietnam market with our experienced and dedicated team as well as our excellent programs. More importantly, we aim to deliver the most exclusive Maserati Brand experience to Vietnamese customers. Our team is very excited about bringing the Maserati Brand to Vietnam. This demonstrates Maserati Asia's confidence in us, and we will ensure that we continue to uphold Maserati's standards in serving our customers in Vietnam. Every Maserati car will be sold with a 3-year or 100,000-kilometre warranty, whichever comes first.”
