Modena (IT), 12 May 2009 - The FIA GT International Championship will hold its Italian round at the Adria (Rovigo, IT) track, with the traditional night race set for Saturday 16 May. The race will take place almost two weeks from the first round in Silverstone, where Bartels/Bertolini, Vitaphone Racing Team's 2008 FIA GT title holders grazed victory during the Tourist Trophy, getting second place.

The two Maserati MC12s will be on the prowl for the first season success on the home track, a circuit which is particularly suitable for the Modena GT car features, even if the Saleens still have the advantage due to regulation concessions.

In addition to the 25 kg regulation ballast set for the entire season, Bartels/Bertolini's car will carry an extra 30 kg as prescribed by regulation for getting second place in the UK round.

Qualifying practice: Saturday 16 May, 12.15 - 12.50 (local time)
Race: Saturday 16 May, 19.50 - 21.50 (local time)
