VAUXHALL VIVARO TO JOIN LORD MAYOR’S SHOW

VAUXHALL VIVARO TO JOIN LORD MAYOR’S SHOW

Luton/London – A British-built Vauxhall Vivaro van is to join the parade at the Lord Mayor’s Show in London on Saturday. Wearing a bespoke “Vauxhall has gone electric” livery, the Vivaro will be there to promote Vauxhall’s electric strategy.

Having been a fixture of London life for centuries, the Lord Mayor’s Show is a joyful and diverse civic parade of over 6,000 people. Along with Vauxhall’s Vivaro van, there will be marching bands, military detachments, carriages, dance troupes, inflatables and ceremonial displays.

Vauxhall will launch a pure battery electric version of the Vivaro next year. With emissions-free transport and deliveries becoming increasingly important in urban areas like London, the demand for purely electric light commercial vehicles looks set to increase.

Vauxhall is committed to delivering eight electrified models by 2021 and electrifying its entire product portfolio by 2024. These will including the all-electric Corsa-e, plug-in hybrid Grandland X Hybrid4 and the Vivaro-e.
