The Vauxhall Vivaro has been named Used Commercial Vehicle of the Year at the Car Dealer Used Car Awards 2025, reaffirming its reputation as one of the UK’s most capable, versatile and trusted vans.

The Car Dealer Used Car Awards, held by Car Dealer Magazine, celebrate the best of the best in the used car industry, and have been spotlighting the top dealers and manufacturers since 2012.

Selected by a judging panel of industry experts, including Wheeler Dealers star Mike Brewer, Vivaro took home the top honour among strong competition as the best used commercial vehicle, with Car Dealer recognising the Vivaro for its dependable performance, practicality, and long-term value.

A dominant presence in the medium van segment since its introduction, Vivaro continues to succeed in both the new and used markets and has become a favourite among fleets and businesses with its exceptional ability to support their every transportation need.

Awards host Mike Brewer said: “The Vauxhall Vivaro is a familiar sight on UK roads and a favourite among tradespeople, fleet operators and small businesses alike, and for good reason. It's a solid, dependable choice – no wonder why dealers and customers love it.”

Car Dealer editor-in-chief James Baggott added: “The Vivaro is a van that doesn’t rely on hype – instead, it delivers exactly what buyers want: Practicality, reliability and great running costs. It's a hugely deserving winner of our Used Commercial Vehicle award for 2025.”

Steve Catlin, Managing Director, Vauxhall, said: “The Vauxhall Vivaro winning the Car Dealer Used Commercial Vehicle of the Year reflects its continued reputation as a hardworking, accessible and highly versatile partner for commercial customers across the UK. Vivaro has always delivered capability and efficiency with style and modern technology to suit a wide-range of needs for everyday use – a winning combination to ensure it remains a leader in both the new and used markets.”

The latest award from Car Dealer continues an impressive record of success for the Vivaro, including becoming the second-best-selling van in the UK in 2023, while the Vivaro Electric achieved the remarkable title of best-selling electric van in the UK for three consecutive years from 2021 to 2023.

A wide breadth of powertrains and body styles has also been a significant contributor to the success of the Vivaro range. Across two body lengths and three body styles – Panel Van, Double Cab, and Platform Cab – customers can choose from efficient turbo diesel engines to an advanced fully-electric powertrain to suit every operational requirement.

Available in 1.5-litre and 2.0-litre turbo diesel engines variants, Vivaro produces 100PS, 120PS, 145PS or 180PS to gives businesses the flexibility to select the ideal level of performance and efficiency for their workload.

Alongside its diesel range, the Vivaro electric variant – originally named Vivaro-e – has played a central role in Vauxhall’s transition toward electrification since it was introduced in 2020. Available with 50kWh or 75kWh battery options delivering up to 143 and 205 miles (WLTP) respectively, the Vivaro Electric provides a smooth, quiet and highly efficient alternative for fleets while also able to operate cost-effectively within LEZ and ULEZ areas. With 100kW rapid-charging capability that allows the 50kWh battery to reach 0-80% in just 30 minutes and the 75kWh battery in only 45 minutes, it offers exceptional practicality for operators who require quick turnaround times during busy working days.

ABOUT VAUXHALL MOTORS

Vauxhall Motors started making cars in the UK in 1903. Today, as the oldest and most familiar of Britain’s automotive manufacturers, its philosophy is to build vehicles that are relevant to all and offer design, high levels of equipment and technology, and electrification at an attainable level. Vauxhall is one of few automotive brands to produce electric vehicles in Britain at its manufacturing plant in Ellesmere Port – the UK’s first electric-only manufacturing plant where the Combo Electric van is made.  Vauxhall’s Electric Streets of Britain campaign raises the profile of the need for more on-street electric vehicle charging so that everyone can benefit from the switch to electric.  Find out more at www.electricstreets.co.uk

Vauxhall is part of Stellantis NV, a global leader created for the new era of sustainable mobility as a result of the merger between Groupe PSA and FCA Group in January 2021. Vauxhall is a leader in electrification – as of 2021, it was one of the first manufacturers to offer fully electric versions of all its vans. Since the end of 2024, Vauxhall has offered a fully electric version of every model in its car and van line-up. Info: www.vauxhall.co.uk
