Two iconic British names are joining forces as Vauxhall becomes the official automotive partner of Team GB.

The partnership will see Britain's most loved sports team and one of Britain’s most recognisable automotive brands joining forces, with Vauxhall supporting Britain’s Olympic heroes as they prepare for the upcoming Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games and the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

Vauxhall produced its first car at its South London home in 1903 and continues to manufacture vehicles in Britain 123 years later. Its Ellesmere Port site is the UK’s first EV-only volume manufacturing plant, which currently builds the Combo Electric Life and Combo Electric van.

Eurig Druce, Vauxhall Managing Director & Stellantis UK Group Managing Director, said: “This partnership is a perfect match between two iconic British names. With 200 retailers across the country, Britain’s best-selling small car, and a long history of UK manufacturing, Vauxhall is committed to supporting real people, real journeys, and real communities of Great Britain. We’re proud to be backing the next generation of British talent as we help Team GB athletes prepare for Milano Cortina 2026 and LA 2028.”

Dame Katherine Grainger, Chair of the British Olympic Association, said: "Vauxhall is a well-established and trusted part of everyday life in Britain, and we are very pleased to welcome them into the Team GB family. Their commitment to a more sustainable future aligns with our own ambitions, and we are confident this partnership will make a meaningful difference. Vauxhall's support will play an important role as our athletes prepare for Milano Cortina 2026 and then LA28, and we look forward to working closely with them in the years ahead.”

Vauxhall is leading the way in electrifying Britain, with a fully electric version of every car and van in its line-up. As well as offering customers a wide choice of vehicles, Vauxhall is making electric mobility accessible to all, with its entire electric car range priced under £40,000. Vauxhall’s most affordable EV, the new Frontera Electric family SUV, starts from just £22,495 OTR (including the Electric Car Grant) and is priced lower than the equivalent hybrid model.

Through its Electric Streets of Britain campaign, Vauxhall is working alongside leading EV charging operators to increase access to on-street chargers for the 40% of UK households without a driveway*, ensuring no one is left behind in the move to electric. A national database has been established for UK motorists to register their interest in having on-street residential EV chargers installed near them, with over 12,000 streets registered to date through electricstreets.co.uk.

Team GB’s athletes will next be in action at Milano Cortina 2026, which takes place from 6th to 22nd February. British athletes will be competing across a range of sports, from figure skating and freestyle skiing to bobsleigh and curling.

ABOUT VAUXHALL MOTORS

Vauxhall Motors started making cars in the UK in 1903. Today, as the oldest and most familiar of Britain’s automotive manufacturers, its philosophy is to build vehicles that are relevant to all and offer design, high levels of equipment and technology, and electrification at an attainable level. Vauxhall is one of few automotive brands to produce electric vehicles in Britain at its manufacturing plant in Ellesmere Port – the UK’s first electric-only manufacturing plant where the Combo Electric van is made.  Vauxhall’s Electric Streets of Britain campaign raises the profile of the need for more on-street electric vehicle charging so that everyone can benefit from the switch to electric.  Find out more at www.electricstreets.co.uk

Vauxhall is part of Stellantis NV, a global leader created for the new era of sustainable mobility as a result of the merger between Groupe PSA and FCA Group in January 2021. Vauxhall is a leader in electrification – as of 2021, it was one of the first manufacturers to offer fully electric versions of all its vans. Since the end of 2024, Vauxhall has offered a fully electric version of every model in its car and van line-up. Info: www.vauxhall.co.uk
