Vauxhall remains the UK’s best-selling electric Light Commercial Vehicle (e-LCV) manufacturer, according to the latest new car and light commercial vehicle registration figures published today by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).
June registration figures reveal Vauxhall accounts for 32.0% of the e-LCV market year-to-date, meaning nearly every third electric van sold so far this year has been a Vauxhall.
The Vivaro Electric remains the UK’s best-selling new electric van, topping the sales charts in both June and year-to-date. In June, 482, Vivaro Electric vans were sold taking the total to 2389 for the first six months of the year.
Vauxhall is one of few manufacturers in the UK able to offer businesses and fleets a fully electric van across its model line-up. By 2028, Vauxhall will become an electric-only manufacturer, seven years ahead of the UK Government deadline.
James Taylor, Managing Director, Vauxhall UK, said: “Vauxhall remains the go-to choice for businesses, fleets and private buyers when looking for a capable and efficient fully electric van. We are committed to electrifying Britain and working together with businesses, small and big, to ensure our electric vehicles meet their current and future needs.”
The Vivaro Electric - awarded ‘Medium Van of the Year’ at the What Van? Awards 2022 and ‘Best Medium Electric Van’ at the Driving Electric Awards 2022, as well as being crowned ‘International Van of the Year 2021’, offers great flexibility. Available with a 50kWh or a 75kWh battery, it achieves a WLTP range of up to 205 miles from a single charge and comes with a maximum payload of up to 1,226kg.
