VAUXHALL CORSA IS THE UK’S BEST-SELLING SUPERMINI

Vauxhall continued its strong UK sales performance in April, increasing its total sales volume of LCVs and passenger cars by 9% compared to last year, according the latest new vehicle registration figures published today by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).
The Vauxhall Corsa leads the supermini segment year-to-date with 10,254 sold, while the Corsa Electric was the best-selling electric supermini in April. Vauxhall’s passenger car sales volume increased by 8% compared to last year, representing 33,050 car registrations year-to-date, an increase of 2,351.
Vauxhall was the second best-selling LCV manufacturer in April and is the third best-selling brand year-to-date, with 11,867 vans registered so far in 2024, an increase of 14% over this time last year. Vauxhall’s LCV market share has also increased by almost half a percentage point to 9.76% year-to-date. The Vauxhall Vivaro - manufactured in Luton - is the best-selling medium van so far this year, with 6,423 registrations.
In the electric van market, Vauxhall led the sales charts in April and is the second best-selling brand year-to-date. The Combo Electric was the best-seller in its segment and the second best-selling electric van overall in April. It is manufactured at Ellesmere Port, the UK’s first electric-only volume manufacturing plant.
