VAUXHALL CORSA IS THE UK’S BEST-SELLING SUPERMINI

• Corsa is UK’s best-selling supermini year-to-date
• Vauxhall’s total sales volume of passenger cars and vans up by 9% over last year
• Vauxhall was the second best-selling LCV brand and the best-selling electric van brand in April
• Combo Electric – made in Ellesmere Port – topped the small electric van segment in April
• Vivaro – manufactured in Luton - is the UK’s best-selling medium van so far this year
• Vauxhall and its Stellantis sister brands are the only brands to manufacture vans in volume in the UK

Vauxhall continued its strong UK sales performance in April, increasing its total sales volume of LCVs and passenger cars by 9% compared to last year, according the latest new vehicle registration figures published today by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).

The Vauxhall Corsa leads the supermini segment year-to-date with 10,254 sold, while the Corsa Electric was the best-selling electric supermini in April. Vauxhall’s passenger car sales volume increased by 8% compared to last year, representing 33,050 car registrations year-to-date, an increase of 2,351.

Vauxhall was the second best-selling LCV manufacturer in April and is the third best-selling brand year-to-date, with 11,867 vans registered so far in 2024, an increase of 14% over this time last year. Vauxhall’s LCV market share has also increased by almost half a percentage point to 9.76% year-to-date. The Vauxhall Vivaro - manufactured in Luton - is the best-selling medium van so far this year, with 6,423 registrations.

In the electric van market, Vauxhall led the sales charts in April and is the second best-selling brand year-to-date. The Combo Electric was the best-seller in its segment and the second best-selling electric van overall in April. It is manufactured at Ellesmere Port, the UK’s first electric-only volume manufacturing plant.
