Vauxhall's leadership team is boosted with the appointment of Michael Auliar in the new year as Commercial Director, reporting to Eurig Druce, Stellantis UK Group Managing Director. Druce also takes leadership of Vauxhall directly, alongside his current responsibility of Stellantis UK market, recognising the importance of the Vauxhall brand to Stellantis UK’s overall performance.
Michael Auliar joined Stellantis in April 2025, reporting to Zineb Ghout, PEUGEOT Enlarged Europe SVP, responsible for the Sales & Marketing performance of Spain, Portugal, Italy and Belgium. Prior to this, he worked for Nissan for 27 years, joining as a graduate in 1998 and performing various Sales, Marketing and Operations roles in the UK. He also has European experience, spending nine years working in Switzerland, France and the Nordic countries. His last role at Nissan before joining Stellantis was as the UK Sales Director.
Eurig Druce, Group Managing Director, Stellantis UK, said: “Vauxhall is a British brand with a proud history dating back over 120 years to its roots in 1903. It’s the home brand for the group and, despite an onslaught of new competition, is increasing its market share. I am delighted to welcome Michael Auliar to Vauxhall and, with his strong industry experience, I know that he will continue this trajectory.”
Steve Catlin leaves Vauxhall for personal reasons.
Vauxhall builds on a monumental year with milestones such as offering a fully electric version of every car and van it builds, the Vauxhall Corsa remaining the UK’s best-selling supermini, and becoming the first UK manufacturer to offer electric and petrol hybrid versions of the same car for an identical list price with the New Frontera. Vauxhall has a proud heritage of UK manufacturing with over 120 years of continual production today, building electric vehicles at Ellesmere Port in Cheshire - the UK’s first electric-only volume manufacturing plant. So far this year, Vauxhall has sold over 15,000 electric vehicles.

ABOUT VAUXHALL MOTORS
Vauxhall Motors started making cars in the UK in 1903. Today, as the oldest and most familiar of Britain’s automotive manufacturers, its philosophy is to build vehicles that are relevant to all and offer design, high levels of equipment and technology, and electrification at an attainable level. Vauxhall is one of few automotive brands to produce electric vehicles in Britain at its manufacturing plant in Ellesmere Port – the UK’s first electric-only manufacturing plant where the Combo Electric van is made. Vauxhall’s Electric Streets of Britain campaign raises the profile of the need for more on-street electric vehicle charging so that everyone can benefit from the switch to electric. Vauxhall is part of Stellantis NV, a global leader created for the new era of sustainable mobility as a result of the merger between Groupe PSA and FCA Group in January 2021. Vauxhall is a leader in electrification – as of 2021, it was one of the first manufacturers to offer fully electric versions of all its vans. Since the end of 2024, Vauxhall has offered a fully electric version of every model in its car and van line-up. Info: www.vauxhall.co.uk
