IOAN LLOYD CLAIMS THIRD CONSECUTIVE PODIUM AT RALLYE WEIZ DURING ADAC GSE RALLY CUP

• Vauxhall Mokka GSE Rally driver, Ioan Lloyd, secured third place at Rallye Weiz in the third round of the 2026 ADAC GSE Rally Cup
• Lloyd sits second in the championship standings after three consecutive podium finishes, just three points behind leader Tom Dufour
• Vauxhall Mokka GSE Rally benefitted from new remote charging infrastructure, allowing for recharging between stages rather than solely in the service park
• The fourth stage of the ADAC GSE Rally Cup will take place at Saarland-Pfalz in Germany

Vauxhall Mokka GSE Rally driver Ioan Lloyd secured third place at Rallye Weiz after a closely fought battle for the podium, leaving Lloyd second in the 2026 ADAC GSE Rally Cup standings after three rounds, just three points behind leader Tom Dufour.

In a challenging rally with difficult conditions throughout, with low-grip surfaces and thunderstorms creating a demanding challenge for drivers and teams, Ioan Lloyd and co-driver Sion Williams delivered an admirable drive. Despite a technical issue affecting their progress during Saturday afternoon’s stages, Lloyd maintained strong pace to secure valuable championship points and remains firmly in contention for the title. Competing against a field of four-wheel-drive cars, the Vauxhall Mokka GSE Rally once again demonstrated its performance throughout the weekend.

The event also saw the all-electric Mokka GSE Rally car supported by new remote charging infrastructure, enabling charging between special stages, and crucially outside the service park. The innovative mobile charging system allows the Vauxhall Mokka GSE Rally to charge between stages rather than solely in the service park. Charging units are transported to where they are needed throughout the rally, providing greater flexibility during the event and supporting the continued development of electric rally competition.

The conditions were extremely challenging, and completing the full rally distance with the Vauxhall Mokka GSE Rally marks another important step for electric rallying."

Ioan Lloyd, Vauxhall GSE Rally Driver, said: "It was a challenging rally for all of us. The low-grip conditions, combined with the thunderstorm showers, made it incredibly demanding throughout the weekend. We've learnt a great deal, and we're happy with our pace. Unfortunately, a minor technical issue on Saturday afternoon hampered our progress and may have cost us a point or two in the Power Stage. Even so, we're pleased to come away with valuable championship points and a third-place finish."

For the fourth showdown of the season, Ioan Lloyd and the all-electric Vauxhall Mokka GSE Rally will continue its championship run at the ADAC Saarland-Pfalz Rallye on the 14^th and 15^th August.
