Stellantis Extends Special Coverage for 1.5 BlueHDi engines to  10 years or 150,000 miles and introduces retroactive reimbursement for previous issues for European Consumers

• New special coverage for 10 years or 150,000 miles related to camshaft chain issue 
• Retroactive reimbursement also available via dedicated online “compensation” platform 
• Check+ certificate for the pre-owned vehicles

AMSTERDAM, July 3, 2025 – Stellantis is extending its special coverage policy for earlier generations of its 1.5 BlueHDi diesel engines produced between October 2017 and January 2023, addressing issues related to the camshaft chain. Under this enhanced policy, Stellantis will cover 100% of parts and labor costs for up to 10 years or 150,000 miles, subject to specific conditions. 

In addition, customers who have previously experienced camshaft chain issues may request from mid-July on reimbursement for related expenses. A dedicated online “compensation” platform is available at https://stellantis-support.com and is also accessible via the websites of the brands: Citroën, DS Automobiles, Vauxhall, Fiat, and Peugeot. 

This complementary policy applies to qualifying repairs carried out between January 1, 2023, and June 30, 2025, provided that the vehicle’s maintenance and diagnosis followed the guidelines recommended by the respective brand. 

To be eligible to the special coverage, maintenance should have been performed by any automotive professional according to the manufacturer’s recommendation. As part of this initiative, Stellantis is also providing  to the pre-owned customers in the Spoticar and Stellantis authorized network the Check + certificate that informs them that they will benefit from the same special coverage as first-hand customer.
