PEUGEOT TAKES FOUR SPOTS IN DIESEL CAR TOP 50
PEUGEOT has taken four spots in Diesel Car’s Top 50 list for 2022. The 3008 and 5008 were recognised in the 2022 ranking, along with the PEUGEOT 208 and new 308.
PEUGEOT has taken four spots in Diesel Car’s Top 50 list for 2022. The 3008 and 5008 were recognised in the 2022 ranking, along with the PEUGEOT 208 and new 308.
The PEUGEOT 3008 took a podium position, ranking third place in the run-down of the best diesel cars available on the UK market. A previous ‘Top 50’ winner, the PEUGEOT 3008 has been recognised by Diesel Car thanks to its comfort for both drivers and passengers, and stylish design across the exterior and interior.
Ian Robertson, Editor and Publisher of Diesel&EcoCar, said: “The facelift sharpened up the 3008’s looks and interior without watering down any of the attributes that made it a ‘Top 50’ winner in past years. Great to drive, refined and comfortable, the 3008 is equally satisfying for drivers and passengers. Its interior design is a stand-out feature, but it also has a large and practical boot.”
Launched in 2022, the new PEUGEOT 308 is the latest model to join the PEUGEOT range and was the first to come with the brand’s updated lion logo. Grabbing the attention of the Diesel Car jurors early, the PEUGEOT 308 was listed in 10th place, with the updated design with new fang-like running lights and PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® highlighted.
The PEUGEOT 5008 came in at 20th position thanks in part to the design revisions it received alongside the 3008, whilst the multi-award-winning supermini, the PEUGEOT 208 was listed 18th. Judges praised the PEUGEOT 208 as well-priced and economical to run, while highlighting the car’s brisk drive and efficient on-board tech as a big appeal for drivers.
