PEUGEOT RETAILERS RATE PEUGEOT AMONG TOP FIVE MANUFACTURERS IN THE UK

PEUGEOT has been ranked fifth in the latest NFDA Dealer Attitude Survey, with an overall score of 7.8 out of 10. The survey, updated every six months, ranks all 31 manufacturers in the UK based on feedback from retailers themselves.

PEUGEOT RETAILERS RATE PEUGEOT AMONG TOP FIVE MANUFACTURERS IN THE UK

PEUGEOT has moved up to an impressive fifth position in the latest National Franchised Dealers Association Dealer (NFDA) Attitude Survey. Moving up from 9th place and increasing its score by 0.9 from 6.9 since the Summer 2019 survey, PEUGEOT franchised retailers rated their relationship with the manufacturer 7.8 out of 10 in the latest survey.

The latest Dealer Attitude Survey ranks manufacturers based upon responses from 31 franchise networks. The survey asks franchised retailers 53 questions about the relationship with their manufacturer, covering everything from profit margins and return on capital to the availability of electric and hybrid vehicles from the brand.

The fifth place ranking in the Winter 2019/2020 survey follows a successful year for PEUGEOT, and a very strong start to 2020 with the arrival of PEUGEOT’s next-generation of full electric and Plug in Hybrid vehicles including the all-new e-208 and all-new e-2008 SUV. Both are available with a line-up of efficient petrol and diesel powertrains as well as a full electric variant, staying true to PEUGEOT’s ‘Power of Choice‘ philosophy - 'choose your PEUGEOT, choose your powertrain‘. PEUGEOT has pledged to provide an electrified variant across its entire model line-up including commercial vehicles by 2023.

PEUGEOT’s new residual values strategy, adopted in 2016, has also helped to improve relations with franchised retailers and has seen used values significantly increase on all of its latest products launched since 2017. For the 3008 SUV, residual values have risen by 25%, while used values for the 5008 SUV have gone up by 18% over the same period.

David Peel, Managing Director of PEUGEOT UK, said: “We have already started to see a really strong start to the year for PEUGEOT, and our fifth position in the NFDA Dealer Attitude Survey suggests our franchised retailer network shares the same optimism and belief in the PEUGEOT brand that we do.

“Despite the tough new car market, we’ve managed to increase our market share, while our residual values continue to rise. Our new line-up of electric, plug-in hybrid and efficient petrol and diesel models is well prepared to meet the challenges that lie ahead.”

PEUGEOT rounded off a successful 2019 by increasing its overall share of the new car and new van market in the UK. Outperforming a declining UK car market, PEUGEOT increased its share of the new car market from 3.4% to 3.5% with 80,851 car sales.

Satisfaction levels across all manufacturers in the latest NFDA Dealer Attitude Survey saw an increase on the Summer 2019 figures. The average score overall was 5.9 out of 10, a 0.3 point rise on the previous survey.
