In the What Car? Electric Car of the Year Awards 2024, the new PEUGEOT E-5008 has beaten benchmark and premium competitors to be awarded the ‘Best Electric 7-Seater’.

In the What Car? Electric Car of the Year Awards 2024, the new PEUGEOT E-5008 has beaten benchmark and premium competitors to be awarded the ‘Best Electric 7-Seater’.

Judges praised the new E-5008's impressive refinement, providing passengers with a comfortable and quiet ride. This is complemented by the impressive and spacious interior, which allows plenty of room for up to seven adults, even in the third row. In the used car category, the PEUGEOT E-208 was also praised by judges and scooped the ‘Best Electric Small Car’ award.

The all-electric E-5008 is the only model in the electric segment to offer up to 410* miles of range, seating for up to seven passengers, and a choice of powertrains. Designed from the outset as an electric model using the Stellantis STLA-M platform, the new E-5008 is available to order now with a 73kWh battery and 210hp electric motor offering up to 311 miles of range (WLTP). A long-range version will join the lineup later in 2024 with a 98kWh battery, an electric motor producing 230hp and capable of up to 410* miles of range.

The new E-5008 offers seven seats as standard, whilst maintaining a stylish exterior as well as a spacious and high-end interior, including the new PEUGEOT Panoramic i-Cockpit®, which combines the raised head-up display and large central touchscreen of previous models into a single 21-inch curved panoramic display.

Steve Huntingford, Editor, What Car?, said: "The new PEUGEOT E-5008 combines a comfortable ride with a planted feel. Plus, it keeps wind and road noise to a minimum, so you won't have to raise your voice, even when speaking to someone in the third row. Access to that third row is easy, too, and there's room for adults back there. Meanwhile, quality throughout the interior impresses."

Eurig Druce, Managing Director, PEUGEOT UK, said: “With seating for up to seven passengers and an electric range of up to 410 miles, the new E-5008 sets a new benchmark in the EV market. Winning the prestigious ‘Best Electric 7-Seater’ accolade in the What Car? Electric Car of the Year Awards recognises the new E-5008 as a true class-above SUV. We are proud to offer our customers the most comprehensive, all-electric line-up of any mainstream European brand, and we’re committed to being one of the leaders in the EV market”.

PEUGEOT offers the widest all-electric line-up of any mainstream European brand and by the end of this year, it will offer 12 all-electric vehicles, including nine passenger cars and three electric light commercial vehicles.

In addition to its extensive electric vehicle line-up, PEUGEOT offers the Allure Care Warranty across its electric car range. PEUGEOT is the first European manufacturer to offer such generous coverage. The Allure Care Warranty** covers the electric motor, onboard charger, transmission and main electrical and mechanical components for up to 8 years or 100,000 miles. PEUGEOT Allure Care Warranty is activated automatically and free of charge for two years (or 16,000 miles) after each service in the PEUGEOT-approved aftersales network.
