PEUGEOT e-208 WINS ‘ERIN BAKER’ AWARD AT AUTO TRADER NEW CAR AWARDS 2021
The PEUGEOT e-208 has won the ‘Erin Baker’ award at the fifth-annual Auto Trader New Car Awards. The award is based on the personal recommendation of Auto Trader’s editorial director and award winning motoring journalist, Erin Baker, and adds to the e-208’s growing list of accolades. The full electric e-208 was recognised for its low running costs, impressive range and its high levels of technology on board.
New for 2021, the ‘Erin Baker’ award is determined by Auto Trader’s Editorial Director, Erin Baker, with vehicles judged on how well they combine their sustainable credentials and design in an overall package. The PEUGEOT e-208’s full-electric range, its innovative 3D i-Cockpit® and its ease of use and low running costs were all highlighted by Auto Trader.
Erin Baker, Auto Trader’s Editorial Director, said: “For me, the best cars out there this year combine sustainable credentials with cool design, in a smart package. I believe the PEUGEOT e-208 is a genuine standout success in 2021 thanks to its sporty, chunky exterior styling and a subtle, beautiful interior. It’s reasonably priced, with low running costs and is oh so easy to park. Peugeot really nailed it with this perfectly formed little car.”
The PEUGEOT e-208 features a 50kWh battery connected to a 100kW (136hp) electric motor. Capable of up to 217 miles from a single charge (WLTP), the e-208 also supports up to 100kW rapid charging with an 80% charge taking just 30 minutes. Prices for the PEUGEOT e-208 start from £27,225*.
