PEUGEOT e-208 NAMED GREENFLEET VEHICLE OF THE YEAR

The PEUGEOT e-208 has won the ‘Vehicle of the Year’ award at the 2021 GREENFLEET Awards, adding to its impressive record of industry accolades. GREENFLEET said the e-208 has made the biggest impact on the UK fleet sector this year.

In a ceremony held at the British Motor Museum, Warwick, the GREENFLEET Awards celebrated innovation and environmental excellence across the fleet and transport sectors. The GREENFLEET ‘Vehicle of the Year’ accolade was a new addition to the awards list for 2021, introduced to recognise the car, van or truck that has made the biggest impact on the UK fleet sector in 2021.

The e-208 was named the inaugural category winner, having impressed both industry experts and fleet customers with its excellent range, affordable running costs and a stylish design that helps it stand out on the road.

The multi-award-winning PEUGEOT e-208 was the first of a new generation of fully electric vehicles launched by PEUGEOT, which will provide electrified variants of each model in the range by 2024. The PEUGEOT e-208 features a 50kWh battery connected to a 100kW (136hp) electric motor. Capable of up to 217 miles from a single charge (WLTP), the e-208 also supports up to 100kW rapid charging with 0-80% charge taking just 30 minutes.

Julie David, Managing Director, PEUGEOT, UK, said: We’re honoured that the PEUGEOT e-208 has been named winner of GREENFLEET’s first ever ‘Vehicle of the Year’ award. The e-208 has been incredibly popular since it first launched and has served as a base for our increasing developments with electrification. Fleet users are some of the most demanding customers in the industry, and the award goes a long way in recognising the high levels of build quality, reliability and everyday usability that forms the basis of each PEUGEOT model.”

Alongside winning the GREENFLEET ‘Vehicle of the Year’ award, PEUGEOT was also shortlisted in Fleet Car Manufacturer, PHEV Manufacturer and EV Manufacturer of the Year categories.

The PEUGEOT e-208 is available to order and buy from PEUGEOT Retailers and via PEUGEOT Buy Online. Buy Online allows customers to configure and order their vehicle entirely online and makes purchasing a car online simple and convenient. Customers can configure their vehicle, obtain a part exchange valuation, personalise their finance and complete their purchase including home delivery options where available, all from the comfort of their own home.
