PEUGEOT 208 AND e-208 NAMED ‘USED SMALL CAR OF THE YEAR’ AT CAR DEALER USED CAR AWARDS
PEUGEOT 208 and the fully electric PEUGEOT e-208 have been named ‘Used Small Car of the Year’ at the Car Dealer Used Car Awards 2022. The PEUGEOT 208 impressed judges with its striking design, efficient powertrains and comfortable ride.
Car Dealer judges were particularly impressed by the 208’s range of efficient petrol, diesel and electric powertrains, as well as its overall refinement and eye-catching design that helps it stand out on the road. PEUGEOT’s strong value proposition was also scored highly by judges.
James Baggott, Editor-In-Chief of Car Dealer Magazine, said: “The 208 harks back to some iconic variants that have gone before it, and for used car dealers the car is a return to the days of strong-selling PEUGEOTs. It's a real return to form and is a very deserved winner.”
Mike Brewer, Car Dealer Used Car Awards Host, said: “The 208 offers incredible comfort for not a lot of cash, with soft suspension and even softer seats, allowing buyers to cope with even the worst British roads. It’s super-refined, offers a great choice of powertrains – including a brilliant electric version – and it looks mega.”
The PEUGEOT 208 is available as a 100% electric e-208 with a 50kWh battery connected to a 100kW (136hp) electric motor, or with a choice of efficient petrol or diesel engines. Since launch, the e-208 has enjoyed a number of efficiency improvements which have seen the range improve from 217 miles to 225 miles, with a further increase on the way in 2023 to 248 miles (WLTP). The e-208 also supports up to 100kW rapid charging with an 0-80% charge taking just 30 minutes.

The Used Car Awards have been held annually since 2012 by Car Dealer Magazine and celebrate the used car industry. This year’s ceremony will be held at The Brewery in London where TV host Mike Brewer will hand out over 30 awards to dealers and manufacturers.
