Leapmotor has made an impressive start to 2026, ranking second in retail BEV sales among new Chinese entrant brands, according to the latest figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).
Less than a year after launching in the UK, Leapmotor secured 2.6% share of the rapidly expanding electric car market, placing Leapmotor ahead of established and premium brands, including Tesla.
Leapmotor's bold ‘value without compromise’ car range, which all feature a single, comprehensively equipped trim level, has proved a compelling proposition for retail customers. Nearly half of all Leapmotor registrations in January were private buyers, giving the brand a strong 7th place in the UK’s retail BEV sales charts, with a 5.4% market share.
Damien Dally, Leapmotor UK Managing Director, said: “We’re delighted with this strong start to the year, and these results show that our mission to become the best value EV brand in the UK is gaining momentum. Despite making our debut less than a year ago, we’re already outperforming some of the most recognised EV brands in both the retail and fleet sectors.”
By continuing to offer exciting, high specification EVs with transparent pricing and innovations such as the LEAP-GRANT, we’ve proved to UK consumers that they don’t have to compromise on quality to access genuinely affordable electric mobility.”
A Fully Electrified Range
Leapmotor’s range of fully electrified vehicles all feature the same ‘everything as standard’ single trim level philosophy, with all models featuring a comprehensive level of standard specification along with the highest levels of quality and the latest technology.
Prices start from as little as £14,495 OTR, including the brand’s industry-first LEAP-GRANT* of £1,500, for the award-winning T03, one of the most affordable five-door electric cars on sale in the UK for retail customers. Featuring compact exterior dimensions, a spacious interior, and five door practicality, the T03 has up to 165 miles of range (WLTP) and offers fast DC charging speeds.
The B10 is the latest addition to the range, the mid-sized SUV combines sleek design with a practical interior, and advanced tech. Featuring a powerful 67.1kWh battery, it offers up to 270 miles of range (WLTP) and is priced from only £29,995 OTR in retail with the £1,500 LEAP-GRANT.
Finally, the C10 is a large SUV that’s priced from as little as £32,750 OTR in retail, including the £3,750 LEAP GRANT. The comprehensively equipped C10 features a WLTP range of up to 263 miles and a 5-star Euro NCAP rating, just like the B10.
