Leapmotor UK has opened the order books for its B05 electric family hatchback, which will be priced at £28,995 for retail customers, including the £1,500 LEAP-GRANT*. The latest model to deliver on the brand’s ‘value without compromise’ promise, the sporty C-segment hatchback is available to order now from Leapmotor’s 79-strong UK dealer network.

Continuing Leapmotor’s reputation for exceptional value for money, B05 will be available from £299 a month over four years with a Personal Contract Purchase (PCP)** that features a £999 deposit and 0% APR. This great value proposition is made possible by the B05’s strong residual performance, with industry experts Cap HPI calculating the model will retain 47% of its value after 36 months and 30,000 miles and 40% after the higher fleet benchmark profile of 60,000 miles over the same period – making it, by some margin, the highest residual value in the electric family hatchback market.

As with every Leapmotor model, the B05 is available in a single, extremely well-equipped specification. Delivering exceptional value, it also makes choosing a model simplicity itself. Standard equipment includes a panoramic sunroof, 19-inch alloy wheels, frameless doors, automatic air-conditioning, automatic LED headlights and taillights, and electrically operated heated and folding exterior mirrors.

Smartphone connectivity is also standard, featuring Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ from launch, along with an air-cooled wireless charging pad located between the front seats. The interior benefits from a 14.6-inch 2.5K pixel HD central floating touchscreen and an 8.8-inch instrument cluster, while the B05 is fitted with a powerful and entirely self-developed 12-speaker audio system.

Also standard are electrically adjustable front seats (4-way for the passenger and 6-way for the driver) trimmed in OEKO-TEX certified eco-leather. The seats feature a seven-layer construction and are dressed in bamboo charcoal upholstery, combining exceptional comfort with sustainable materials.

Safety is a key priority for Leapmotor, and the B05 features 21 driver assistance systems that allow Level 2 semi-autonomous driving. Key technologies include advanced emergency braking, lane keeping assist, blind spot detection, door open warning (for cyclists) and adaptive cruise control.

Dynamic Performance Tuned for Europe

Featuring Leapmotor’s state-of-the-art Cell-to-Chassis architecture, the B05 also delivers outstanding performance and safety. A large 67.1kWh battery also offers a WLTP range of up to 300 miles and rapid DC charging, with a max power of 174kW, from 30-80% in just 17 minutes.

The B05 features the brand's next-generation electric drive system that uses a special oil cooling system to regulate temperature, even at higher-speed driving, to be more efficient, increase longevity and improve smoothness of operation. Delivering 218PS, the rear-mounted motor drives the rear wheels and provides a 0- 62 mph time of just 6.7 seconds.

Tuned for European roads with the support of Stellantis' global chassis experts, the B05 uses a McPherson front suspension set-up and an innovative integrated rear multi-link arrangement that incorporates the rear motor to save weight. Weight distribution is a perfectly balanced 50:50, which combines with the rear-wheel drive layout to deliver agile and engaging handling characteristics.
