Leapmotor International achieved record sales in April, benefiting from the release of new models and a rapid ramp-up in production capacity.
At the Beijing Auto Show, Leapmotor’s booth attracted curiosity and attention from the media, business partners, and consumers, highlighting the brand’s rapid growth, expanding product portfolio, and innovations in intelligent electric mobility.
The stand prominently featured Leapmotor’s latest models, including the flagship D19 SUV, the B05 Ultra, and the B03X, underlining the company’s strategy of accelerating innovation across key segments.
The strong presence at the Beijing Auto Show coincided with record delivery performance in April, driven by the successful launch of new models and the rapid ramp-up of production capacity. Leapmotor delivered 71,387 vehicles in April, including domestic and export sales, representing a 74% year-on-year increase and 42.7% growth compared with March 2026.
This outstanding result placed Leapmotor first among NEV (New Energy Vehicle) startups in April and year-to-date rankings. From January to April, total deliveries reached 181,542 vehicles, up 41.2% year-on-year, further strengthening the brand’s leadership position among emerging NEV manufacturers.
It’s the same story in the UK with Leapmotor recording 3,676 sales so far this year. Of these, 3,612 were BEV vehicles, equating to a 98.2% overall BEV mix - more than any other Chinese brand.
For further context on Leapmotor’s rapid growth in the UK – the brand recorded 4.273 registrations in the UK in 2025 where it first started retailing cars from March onwards so has almost achieved that level within the first third of this year.
In the BEV retail sector, Leapmotor secured a 3.6% share of the UK market, ranking third among new Chinese entrant brands.
Leapmotor UK, launched in March 2025, already provides a full BEV product line-up, in addition to the recently launched B10 and C10 Hybrid EV models that add greater variety to the range and an increased share in the market.
Damien Dally, Leapmotor UK Managing Director, said: “Leapmotor’s rapid growth in the UK demonstrates that our approach is resonating strongly with drivers who want well-designed electric vehicles that are innovative, fully equipped yet affordable.”
“With a fully electric lineup, and more new models on the way, we’re just getting started. Our ambition is to continue expanding our range to provide British customers with innovative, tech-savvy mobility at a competitive price without compromise.”
After delivering nearly 600,000 vehicles in 2025, Leapmotor International’s strong April performance reinforces the company’s confidence in achieving its ambitious one million unit delivery target this year, underscoring its position as one of the fastest growing players in the electric vehicle market.
Driven by a rapid expansion of its product lineup and sustained technological innovation, the brand is further advancing its goal of becoming a leading and widely accessible smart electric vehicle manufacturer.
