B10 Exterior Design

The Leapmotor B10 is a compact B-segment SUV that redefines expectations of accessible innovation, contemporary style, versatility, and advanced technology for the modern, tech-savvy driver. The winner of a coveted 2024 CMF Design Award, the B10 offers a refined expression of youthful energy and brings together sleek curves and dynamic lines for a bold yet contemporary look.

Compact dimensions of 4,515mm in length, 1,885mm in width and 1,655mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2,735mm, make the B10 the ideal size for city commutes, yet the interior is spacious enough for trips away with family or friends. The front of the B10 creates a powerful fusion of energy and motion that integrates advanced technology, including the incredibly slimline LED automatic headlights – with ‘Wing Star’ lighting signature – and the prominent, raised bonnet line.

Each side of the B10 is sculpted by two sleek, dynamic lines that structure the profile to emphasise movement and strength, while the flush-fitting door handles seamlessly integrate with the car body, enhancing modernity while reducing aerodynamic drag. All B10 models feature 18-inch alloy wheels with a distinctive trident motif that creates a fashionable, refined, and sporty aesthetic.

At the rear, the sleek and harmonious design is accentuated by a full-width ‘Wing Star’ LED light signature that enlarges the vehicle and gives it a striking visual presence. The taillight’s sharp edge contour also adds a refined aesthetic, while the smooth lines bring a sense of motion and dynamism to the overall design, enhancing its youthful and sporty appeal.

B10 Interior Design

The B10’s sleek exterior lines don’t come at the cost of interior style, space and onboard storage. The cabin is bright, spacious and versatile, anchored by a 14.6-inch floating touchscreen and an 8.8-inch driver display. The layout is also functional and inviting, with seat configurations that transform the space into a comfortable resting area.

A key feature is the 1.8-m² panoramic sunroof that floods the interiors with natural light, enhancing both well-being and the driving experience. The sunshade, which keeps the interior cool in summer months, can also be controlled via the App and is direct-driven by a motor directly, which weighs just 1.3kg and is quieter in operation (-7dB).  The laminated roof glass stops 99.75% of all UV rays. Premium features include the chrome surrounds for the air vents and soft padding for the door panels that feature embroidered bamboo leaf patterns that add a unique and exquisite charm.

Elsewhere, the ECO leather seats also feature a seven-layer construction and are dressed in bamboo charcoal upholstery, combining exceptional comfort with sustainable materials that help to remove harmful gases and reduce odours – these have been independently certified by OEKO-TEX*.  The front seats are both heated and ventilated (3-stage fan, optimised for noise reduction and performance) and electrically operated (6-way driver, 4-way passenger).  The steering wheel is heated. 

Automatic climate control is standard on the B10, helping ensure occupants are comfortable regardless of the conditions outside. Also included is an efficient heat pump, which keeps the cabin warm by using heat from the battery that would otherwise be wasted. Not only does this allow the interior to warm quickly, but it’s extremely efficient, as unlike standard heaters, it requires a lot less energy and so does not have a significant impact on battery range.

Class-leading practicality

The B10 offers the largest passenger space in the segment with 2,390mm from the rear seats to the front footwells, along with segment-leading headroom in the front and rear. The B10 offers an expansive boot, perfect for young families, with a 1,100mm wide opening and an identical depth, expanding to 1,400mm with the rear seats folded. This contributes to a total boot volume of 430 litres that expands to 1,700 litres with the seats folded.

The addition of a 25-litre front cabin storage box, or frunk, complements the B10's already capacious interior space and is ideal for storing charging cables and adapters. Lined in a hard-wearing material, it can also be used to carry outdoor items, such as muddy walking boots.

For added practicality, there are 22 storage spaces throughout the vehicle, including in the centre console, door panels, ceiling, seats, and boot, to meet various daily storage needs. Between the driver and front seat passenger is a handy lidded centre armrest storage that incorporates a tray for two smartphones – the driver’s side holder includes a wireless charging pad. The glovebox has a large 8.5L capacity and can hold a 14-inch laptop.

Another innovative feature is the fully reclining front seats, which can be quickly and easily folded flat to create a relaxing space that’s perfect for a quick break, a moment of calm, or simply to stretch out and unwind wherever you are.

Infotainment Featuring Leap OS 4.0

The latest LEAP OS 4.0 Plus system provides a customizable interface, immersive 3D cockpit, and multi-application display, including smart features such as multi-scenario modes and the full remote control via the Leapmotor mobile app – all housed in the intuitive 14.6-inch centrally-mounted infotainment system.  This screen has an ultra-thin frame of just 7.2mm. 

Offering smartphone-like smoothness, it gives users seamless access to features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Smart Voice Assistant, plus online navigation with real-time traffic and charging station information. As standard, it also comes pre-installed with apps such as Spotify, Amazon Music, Tidal, Deezer, YouTube and TikTok.

With its Flexible System Framework, the display can effortlessly switch between full screen and split screen modes based on usage, while the Multi-Application Display supports the simultaneous display and operation of two applications, catering to the diverse needs of both the driver and passenger. You can also customise the desktop background, enable scene-based interactions and even change the colour of the virtual car depiction to match the real thing.

Powered by Qualcomm’s high-spec Snapdragon 8155 chip with efficient low-power memory technology, it uses advanced 7nm technology and has up to 16GB of memory. This allows it to run multiple applications smoothly and receive firmware updates over-the-air (OTA). Its computing power is impressive, much higher than the previous Qualcomm 6125 chip, and comparable to high-end smartphones. The integrated Adreno 640 GPU supports high-resolution displays and complex graphics.

One of the many features is multi-scenario mode, which offers users greatly improved convenience during daily use, such as when camping, parked at the roadside or needing vehicle monitoring. As standard, it has several useful modes, including:

• Guard / Pet Mode: When this function is active, the air conditioner will continue to operate for a defined time after the user leaves and locks the vehicle, helping to maintain a relatively comfortable environment for any people or pets remaining inside.

• Camping Mode: After this function is activated, the air conditioner can remain active. If rain is detected, the windows can be closed automatically.
• Cleaning Mode: Turning on the cleaning mode will turn off automatic locking when leaving the car, close the windows, tailgate, and switch air conditioning to internal circulation to meet your car cleaning needs.
• Vehicle-off Power Supply Mode: Keeps the vehicle unlocked and powered on when the driver steps out briefly, maintaining a comfortable environment with active air conditioning and entertainment for passengers.

Immersive audio

The B10 features an impressive and entirely self-developed 12-speaker audio system. Users can personalise the sound experience with customisable equaliser settings, while the Sound Effects Master Module unlocks professional-level custom tuning capabilities thanks to the advanced sound module. There are also three Distinct Sound Fields that allow the audio to be tailored to specific areas of the interior - whole car, front row and back row.

Additionally, the B10’s intelligent, 64-colour ambient light system synchronises with music, creating an immersive visual and acoustic experience. This eye-catching set-up features three modes that help create either a vibrant ambience or a relaxing environment, depending on your mood:

As far as mobile device connectivity is concerned, the C-SUV offers up to five charging locations throughout the vehicle: two in the front row (USB Type-A and Type-C) and two in the rear (USB Type-A and Type-C), in addition to the dual wireless 15W-charging pads between the front seats.

Leapmotor Connected Services

The B10 features a smart system for locking and unlocking the vehicle. By using the Leapmotor App on a smartphone, the car automatically locks and unlocks when in proximity, as well as offering a range of other functions. Once inside, there’s no need to use a key – simply place the NFC digital key on the wireless charging pad between the front seats and the C10 is primed and ready to go. The car can also be operated just with the NFC card by placing the card on the driver’s mirror sensor to unlock/lock.

Innovative Powertrain Technology

The Leapmotor B10 is designed around the principle of technology that enhances everyday life. As the first global model in Leapmotor’s B-Series, the B10 is built on the new LEAP3.5 technology architecture to achieve superior integration and optimisation of software and hardware.

The new architecture delivers the world’s most integrated central domain control architecture:  cockpit and driving control associated with one of the world’s shortest 996-metre wiring looms covering up to 22 ECU controls, and over 200 open-source interfaces. Software upgrades are unlimited thanks to over-the-air capabilities offered to consumers.

This next-generation electric drive system uses a special oil cooling system to regulate temperature, even at higher speed driving, to be more efficient, increase longevity and smoothness of operation. The motor is both lightweight (around 60kg in total – reducing overall vehicle weight by 20kg) and is 94% efficient, which means less energy is wasted during everyday driving.

An AI-integrated battery thermal management system ensures that the battery always remains in optimal working conditions while optimising the thermal management and energy consumption, so that more power can be used for propulsion.

The system monitors battery status in all working conditions, predicts potential safety hazards and responds in advance, improving safety. It provides users with a long-life, high-efficiency, and high-safety power battery system.

B10 uses a state-of-the-art 67.1kWh battery that offers a WLTP range of up to 270 miles and powers a highly efficient 218hp rear-mounted motor that delivers a 0-62mph time of 8.0 seconds, and a 106mph top speed.

Fast Charging

The B10’s battery system is designed to charge quickly, so you spend less time plugged in and more time on the road. With the ability to fast charge at 400A, the battery can be

replenished at up to 2.5 times its capacity, meaning 30% to 80% capacity is possible in just 20 minutes, with a maximum charging speed of 168kW (DC), which is perfect for quick stops.

Reliability in all conditions was a key development target for the B10; therefore, the battery delivers strong charging performance even in cold temperatures. The specially developed cells and control software also preserve both range and power in all driving conditions.

Cell-to-Chassis technology

The B10 has been developed using Leapmotor’s advanced Cell-to-Chassis technology (CTC2.0+), which integrates the 67.1kWh battery into the structure of the vehicle, resulting in reduced weight and a 13% increase in volumetric energy density, meaning more power in less space and extra room for passengers. This advanced battery system introduces a new level of integration and intelligence.

This approach helps deliver superior torsional rigidity and, consequently, an extremely strong structure. Not only does this result in exceptional safety and impact resistance, but it also provides even more precise handling and ride comfort. Furthermore, by making the battery part of the floor structure, engineers have been able to keep the centre of gravity as low as possible for superior stability.

Cell-to-Chassis is an integral part of the state-of-the-art centralised electronic and electrical architecture. With its innovative ‘Four-Leaf Clover’ design, it delivers the perfect balance and greatest efficiency between all the main components.

Part of the brand’s ‘full-stack development’, it allows Leapmotor to build essential vehicle systems, such as powertrain, intelligent driving, and cockpit systems, from the ground up, enabling complete in-house development of both software and hardware.

Leapmotor’s cutting-edge EV architecture also allows for V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) connection, which offers users the ability to charge larger and more powerful items. Featuring a 230V output, this facility makes it possible to charge and power devices such as laptops, electric bicycles and mobile fridges using the energy stored in the vehicle's traction battery.

Advanced Chassis Technology and Comprehensive Driver Modes

Developed in close collaboration with Stellantis’ global chassis experts, the B10 has been specifically tuned to meet the demands of European roads – striking an optimal balance between control and comfort.

The B10 has a McPherson front suspension set-up and an innovative integrated rear multi-link arrangement that incorporates the rear motor to save weight (19% reduction) compared to traditional independent suspension. Weight distribution is 50:50, and the vehicle is rear wheel drive, plus it features a staggered tyre set-up (wider at the rear than the front) for enhanced traction and grip.

The B10 offers three driving modes, accessed through the main infotainment screen, that have been designed to ensure the car always matches the road conditions or the driver’s mood.

• Comfort: Smooth and gentle acceleration, strong energy regeneration, and soft steering for a relaxed and efficient ride.

• Standard: Balanced acceleration, light regenerative braking, and a comfortable steering setup - ideal for everyday driving.
• Sport: Dynamic acceleration, strong energy regeneration, and a firm, responsive steering feel for a more engaging drive.

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems

Safety comes as standard with the B10 thanks to 17 driver assistance systems that allow Level 2 semi-autonomous driving and achieve a five-star Euro NCAP rating.

Whether in traffic or on the open road, these state-of-the-art systems use intelligent technologies to support drivers every step of the way, delivering a smoother, safer, and more relaxed driving experience. A selection of the features fitted as standard on every B10 includes:

• Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC): Automatically controls acceleration and braking to maintain a safe distance to the car in front at speeds of between 18-99mph

• Lane Centering Control (LCC): This system actively provides steering inputs to keep the vehicle in the centre of the lane     
• Lane Keeping Assist (LKA): If the vehicle begins to drift out of its lane without the turn signal activated, the system intervenes by applying gentle steering assistance
• Front Collision Warning (FCW): Warns the driver with visual and audible alerts when distance to vehicle ahead becomes unsafe and a collision risk is detected
• Rear Collision Warning (RCW): Displays an alert and activates hazard lights if a collision risk is detected with a vehicle approaching from behind
• Doors Open Warning (DOW): Monitors other vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians from the side and rear, alerting the driver in case of collision risk when opening a door.
• Hands Off Detection (HOD): Reminds the driver to hold the steering wheel while using features like lane keeping or adaptive cruise control
• Rear Cross Traffic Braking (RCTB): While reversing, the system monitors approaching vehicles and alerts the driver with a warning sound, braking the car if needed
• Intelligent Speed Assist (ISA): Helps the driver stay aware of speed limits by recognising road signs and displaying speed limit information in real time
• Driver Drowsiness and Attention Warning System (DDAW): Monitors the driver’s attention and issues a warning if signs of distraction or drowsiness are detected

The B10 also features a comprehensive passive safety system that prioritises occupant protection through a combination of seven strategically placed airbags and advanced seat belt technology. Furthermore, the body has been engineered for maximum strength and stability, contributing to both safety and driving comfort.

The body frame of the B10 is made of high-strength steel, while the passenger area has a strong cage structure, with 90.7% high-strength materials. This not only improves crash protection, but also reduces weight, increases durability and helps prevent corrosion over time.

B10 Line-up

The B10 is launching following Leapmotor’s clear and simple one version lineup that ensures the highest level of specification as standard. That means every B10 gets 18-inch alloy wheels, electrically adjustable front seats (4-way for the passenger and 6-way for the driver), automatic air-conditioning, automatic LED headlights and taillights, and electrically operated heated and folding exterior mirrors.

The stylish exterior is available with six paint finishes, including the eye-catching, metallic Starry Night Blue. Included as the standard paint option, it’s inspired by the famous Starry Night Over the Rhône painting by Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh. Solid finished options are Gloss White and Tundra Grey, while Dawn Purple, Metallic Black, and Galaxy Silver are options. For the interior, there’s a stylish Light Grey theme as standard, with Shadow Grey available as a no-cost option

The B10 will be available to order through Leapmotor UK’s 60-strong retail network, and, like all Leapmotor models, it’s covered by a 4year and 60,000-mile warranty. For the battery, extra peace of mind comes in the form of a separate eight-year and 100,000-mile warranty.

From launch, the B10 will benefit from a £1,500 LEAP-GRANT, available to all retail customers, ensuring the sub-£30,000 retail price. Leapmotor were the first manufacturer to launch its own self-funded electric car grant in July 2025, following the government’s own Electric Car Grant initiative. For company car buyers, where there are advantageous taxation benefits available to purchasers, the price is £31,495 on-the-road (OTR).
