Fiat 500e won its first American award: 2024 Urban Green Car of the Year by Green Car Journal

• 500e is most awarded FIAT ever: 43 International awards in 10 countries since its European launch in 2020.

Green Car Journal has named the Fiat 500e 2024 Urban Green Car of the Year™.

The 500e is electrifying North America with its sustainable mobility mission as Stellantis’ first BEV offering in the region. Green Car Journal editors noted the compelling combination of efficiency, affordability, style and zero-emission motoring with a cool Italian vibe.

“FIAT’s new 500e is innately appealing with its compact form, Italian fashion sense, and zero emission driving,” said Ron Cogan, Editor and Publisher of Green Car Journal and GreenCarJournal.com. “It’s also right-sized for urban life, which means easier maneuvering and parking in crowded environs.”

The 500e registered more than 185,000 units globally since its launch and it is playing a relevant role in the green transition of international metropolises. The 500e is currently sold in 44 countries around the globe, continuing the Brand electrification journey around the world.

In 2023 the 500e was number 1 in Europe in the A+B BEV segment with a market share of 14,7%, increased by 0,3 p.p. compared to 2022, despite the decrease of the segment -5%. In Europe, Fiat 500e sold nearly 65,000 units.

Fiat 500e has won 43 International awards in 10 countries (Germany, France, UK, Italy, Poland, Belgium, Greece, Netherlands, Israel and the US) since its European launch in 2020.
