FIAT Professional has launched a new clothing collection for Britain’s tradespeople that will put an end to the UK’s ‘Builder’s Bum’ crisis.
In collaboration with an up-and-coming designer Alessandro Cheekwood, the limited-edition ‘No-Show Range’ is a stylish, yet practical collection designed to tackle one of the construction industry’s most persistent challenges: keeping workwear comfortably in place during busy days on site.
A recent FIAT Professional survey revealed that over 50% of British tradespeople admit they struggle to find work shorts that stay secure throughout a day of bending, lifting and general graft.
Meanwhile, 85% of Brits say they’ve unfortunately witnessed over 10 ‘Builder’s Bums’ in the past year.
The ‘No-Show Range’ aims to offer a simple solution - better coverage, better comfort and a bit more confidence on the job.
The new ‘No-Show Range’ features various coloured shorts and trousers, with a high-rise fit, an additional extended waistband at the back, as well as reinforced stretch panels to ensure full coverage while lifting and bending. Designer Cheekwood has also created a heavy-duty and breathable, crack-control fabric that offers a practical solution tailored to modern tradespeople.
Cheekwood, known for combining streetwear with functional design, said: “Workwear is changing and it’s time to tackle the ‘Builder's Bum’ crisis… with style. We have created a range that’s practical, modest, and that will eliminate the need for constant readjustments. A line dedicated to ending the crack era.”
A FIAT Professional spokesperson added: “‘Builder’s Bum’ is something we all laugh about but is a very serious crisis in the UK. This collaboration brings together function and design in a way that respects the needs of workers, while allowing them to add a touch of style to the workplace. We hope that the ‘No-Show Range’ provides a simple, well-designed solution – keeping everything covered, no matter the task. At the end of the day, Crack Happens – We Fix It!”
The limited‑edition ‘No‑Show Range’ will be available in the UK from 1st April, with only 250 pieces produced. The range will start from £49.99 and can be bought through the FIAT website. Alternatively, customers purchasing a FIAT Professional van during the month of April will receive an item of choice for free, while stock lasts.
With a limited production run and strong demand expected, anyone interested is encouraged to act quickly - this is one drop Britain’s tradespeople won’t want to let slip away.
