SANYA E-PRIX: BACK TO THE SCENE OF A MAJOR SUCCESS FOR DS AUTOMOBILES

• Round 11 of ABB FIA Formula E World Championship Season 12 will take place on 20 June at Sanya in China

• The Sanya E-Prix marks a return for DS Automobiles to the track where the brand sealed a resounding victory in 2019

• Maximilian Günther and Taylor Barnard, driving the DS E-TENSE FE25 cars developed by DS Performance, have a clear objective: to bring DS Automobiles and PENSKE AUTOSPORT to the forefront of the race

On Saturday 20 June, Formula E returns to the streets of Sanya in China, as the city rejoins the championship calendar after hosting a single race in Season 5.

For DS Automobiles, this marks a comeback to the Haitang Bay street circuit, where Jean-Eric Vergne claimed a superb victory with the DS E-TENSE FE19 on 23 March, 2019. It was a win that marked a turning point in a memorable season, which ended with a triumphant double title for the French driver and the premium brand from the Stellantis group.

In just a few days, Maximilian Günther and Taylor Barnard will take the wheel of the latest DS E-TENSE FE25, developed by the DS Automobiles competition arm – with the aim of flying the flag high for DS PENSKE.

Despite a challenging start to the season, DS Automobiles and its partner PENSKE AUTOSPORT remain fully focussed on their quest for performance and will put everything on the line to reproduce the feat that was achieved on the Chinese track just over seven years ago.

The Sanya E-Prix takes place on Saturday at 08:00 BST (15:00 local time).
