DS AUTOMOBILES IS FIRST EUROPEAN MANUFACTURER TO INTEGRATE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE SYSTEM CHATGPT INTO ITS CARS

• Available to consumers in Europe for the first time, ChatGPT, the best-known generative artificial intelligence model, is coming to DS Automobiles
• With this innovation, ChatGPT now complements the speech recognition function on all DS Automobiles models equipped with DS IRIS SYSTEM, delivering drivers the perfect companion, devoted to the French art of travel
• The integration of ChatGPT offers a high-tech driving experience
• ChatGPT is offered at no extra cost for six months to the first 20,000 registered users with DS IRIS SYSTEM on their DS 3, DS 4, DS 7 or DS 9.

ChatGPT,  generative artificial intelligence model,  will be available on all DS Automobiles models with DS Iris System from later this year, allowing users the opportunity to access useful information and to complete a multitude of tasks while ensuring that the driver can maintain their concentration on the road. The technology will be available across the whole DS model range equipped with the DS IRIS SYSTEM.

ChatGPT technology uses language models to understand and generate a natural and fluid interaction. By learning from huge amounts of data, ChatGPT can answer an impressive variety of questions and provide accurate and relevant information.

The integration of ChatGPT with the DS IRIS SYSTEM, available on DS 3, DS 4, DS 7 and DS 9, enables users to enjoy a revolutionary conversational experience, with access to useful information and the ability to complete a multitude of tasks. In a DS, the benchmark for chatbots takes on a new dimension by becoming a digital assistant devoted to the travel experience.

For example, drivers will be able to ask it for the most beautiful cultural or artistic places to visit during a trip to Bordeaux, to list the most beautiful works kept at the Louvre Museum, to invent a quiz on their favourite subject, or even to create a children's story during a trip.  All these ideas, and much more, can now be topics of conversation with IRIS speech recognition, through the support of ChatGPT artificial intelligence in all DS IRIS SYSTEM equipped DS Automobiles models.

Drivers can wake  DS IRIS SYSTEM by saying "OK IRIS" or by pressing the dedicated button on the steering wheel. Voice interaction with the chatbot then starts, without the need for drivers to take their eyes off the road.

The integration of "SoundHound AI powered by ChatGPT API" with DS IRIS SYSTEM is offered at no extra cost over a six-month pilot phase, if the subscription is taken out between 19 October 2023 and 29 February 2024 and within the first 20,000 requests on DS 3, DS 4, DS 7 and DS 9. This feature, which can be activated remotely, is available on all DS models equipped with DS IRIS SYSTEM and can be accessed in United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain and Italy, in each of the languages of these countries.
