The group’s van market share now stands at 32.45% year-to-date. Stellantis also topped the van sales charts in February, with volume rising by 7% to 5,338 and with a market share of 32.91%.
Vauxhall is the second best-selling van brand in the UK year-to-date with 4,376 units sold. It was also the best-selling electric van brand in February and, alongside Peugeot, Citroën and FIAT Professional, is one of few brands to offer a fully electric variant across its entire van line-up.
The Citroën Berlingo is the UK’s best-selling small van in February and year-to-date, with 2,299 sold. Meanwhile, FIAT Professional saw a significant 65% increase in van sales in February compared to the same month last year, with 630 sold.
Lee Titchner, Pro One LCV Director, Stellantis UK, said: “I’m pleased to see our van volumes up by 10% over last year, with one-in-three vans sold in the UK so far this year manufactured by Stellantis. This is a positive start to the year and testament to the popularity of our updated van line-up, featuring new electric powertrains, impressive practicality and cutting-edge technology.”
Stellantis is the only OEM producing vans in volume in the UK. The group recently announced that limited production of its fully electric medium vans will begin at its Luton manufacturing facility from the first half of 2025, becoming the second Stellantis plant in the UK to manufacture electric vehicles. This follows the start of electric van production at Ellesmere Port in 2023 – the UK’s first electric-only volume manufacturing plant.
