CITROËN UK SUPPORTS NHS PROPERTY SERVICES WITH THE LOAN OF A DISPATCH VAN FOR VITAL PPE DELIVERIES
NHS Property Services, the organisation managing NHS facilities, has been using a Citroën Dispatch van to help deliver essential PPE kit to hospitals across Essex and Cambridge. The Dispatch has been on loan since October and has enabled the delivery of a substantial amount of PPE. Loan facilitated by public sector fleet management specialists Knowles Fleet, in conjunction with Citroën UK. In addition to the loaned Dispatch van, NHS Property Services has a fleet of 600 Citroën models.
NHS Property Services, the organisation that manages more than 3,000 NHS facilities across the UK, has been using a Dispatch van loaned by Citroën UK to help deliver vital PPE. The Citroën Dispatch BlueHDi 120 in popular 'Enterprise' specification has been on duty since October 2020 and has been instrumental in the delivery of a substantial amount of personal protective equipment in and around Essex and Cambridge.
Based at Clacton Hospital, the vehicle is being used to collect PPE from one of the national PPE distribution sites in Epsom, and then to distribute the supplies to various PPE Hubs throughout Essex and into Cambridgeshire.
The loan of the Dispatch van came about after NHS Property Services took delivery of 248 new Citroën commercial vehicles in 2020, taking the total number of vehicles supplied by Citroën to NHS Property Services to 600. All orders have been placed by public sector fleet management specialists Knowles Fleet in support of new maintenance support contracts.
The multi-award winning Citroën Dispatch van is available in three lengths and three trim levels, with up to 6.6m3 of load volume and 1400kg maximum payload. Alongside a range of low-emission BlueHDi Diesel engines, Citroën Dispatch is the first LCV from the brand to be offered with new-generation battery electric (BEV) powertrains. The zero emissions Citroën ë-Dispatch is available with two battery sizes up to 75kWh, offering a range of up to 205 miles from a single charge.
