CITROËN CONTINUES TO REPORT SIGNIFICANT GROWTH IN CAR VOLUME YEAR-ON-YEAR

Citroën has reported a continued growth in passenger car sales. Passenger car sales have more than doubled year-to-date to 14,225 units. Electric cars accounted for 3,370 of these sales, a 69% increase year-on-year. Citroën now holds an almost equal share of the overall car market (1.54% year-to-date) and the electric car market (1.53% year-to-date).

Citroën continues to see success in the UK market, with continued year-on-year growth reported in passenger car sales.

In May, Citroën saw passenger car sales increase 60% year-on-year, resulting in 2,083 units sold. This increased volume also extended to electric car sales, with 117% year-on-year growth confirmed in May and 617 units sold.

According to the latest SMMT figures, Citroën’s passenger car volume has more than doubled year-to-date to 14,225 units. The brand also continues to strengthen its position in the electric car market, with electric car sales accounting for 3,370 units sold – an increase of 69% since last year.

As of May 2026, Citroën holds an almost equal share of the overall car market (1.54% year-to-date) and the electric car market (1.53% year-to-date).

The brand’s positive performance and popularity in the UK market is reflected in its commitment to comfort and accessibility. A renewed model line-up, including C3, C3 Aircross, C4 and C5 Aircross, promises enhanced ride quality, practicality and wellbeing.

Citroën’s Advanced ComfortÒ programme is key to the brand’s design language and delivers leading-class comfort. Enhanced seating and interior wellbeing also provide a smooth and relaxing driving experience.

The brand is also leading the charge in electric accessibility, with an electric version of every car model in its range, all priced under £37,000.
