C5 AIRCROSS HYBRID 136 AND Ë-SERIES VARIANTS NOW OPEN FOR ORDERS

Citroën C5 Aircross featuring the new Hybrid 136 powertrain is now open for orders. Alongside the new 48V hybrid powertrain, C5 Aircross is also now available with the new ë-Series trim level. Prices for C5 Aircross Hybrid 136 start at £32, 295 OTR. Ë-Series variants are available with either the new Hybrid 136 powertrain or as a Plug-in Hybrid with prices starting at £33,530 OTR.

NEW 48V HYBRID POWERTRAIN

Based on the latest compact and lightweight hybrid technology, this new powertrain features a 48V battery pack that re-charges in use, a 136hp PureTech petrol engine that has been specially designed to accommodate the new hybrid system, coupled to a new electrified dual-clutch ë-DCS6 gearbox and a 21kW electric motor.

Emitting only 129g of CO₂/km according to the combined WLTP cycle, C5 Aircross Hybrid 136 emits 15% less CO2 than the equivalent non-electrified petrol C5 Aircross derivative. Priced similarly to an equivalent C5 Aircross diesel model, C5 Aircross Hybrid 136 emits almost 12% less CO₂ than the diesel-powered version. C5 Aircross Hybrid 136 enhances the C5 Aircross electrified range, which also includes the Plug-in Hybrid 225.

Most importantly, the introduction of C5 Aircross Hybrid 136 accelerates Citroën's electrification strategy. The Citroën electrified range is now made up of 10 models: from Hybrid 136 to 100% electric, alongside Plug-in Hybrid, from Ami to New C5 X, and from passenger cars to commercial vehicles, each new introduction with the aim of offering a powertrain that meets customer needs.

Ë-SERIES TRIM

New C5 Aircross with the New 48V Hybrid powertrain is available in Shine or new ë-Series trim.

Shine variants benefit from generous standard trim including 18” diamond-cut bi-tone ‘Pulsar’ alloy wheels,  automatic LED headlights, a customisable 12.3” digital instrument cluster, as well as a 10” infotainment with Citroën Connect Nav with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay®. In addition to the standard equipment offered, Shine variants benefit from a Dark Chrome colour pack, glossy black roof bars, and electric heated folding door mirrors with LED welcome lighting. Shine variants also add the Drive Assist Pack, offering the latest safety technology including Active Safety Brake, Adaptive Cruise Control, Coffee Break Alert, Extended Traffic Sign and Speed Limit Information and Blind Spot Monitoring.

Ë-Series is based on the C-Series variants and features unique style cues, more technology, and benefit from the use of additional recycled materials. Building on the existing Shine Trim, ë-Series variants benefit from 19” Onyx Black ‘Art’ alloy wheels, ë-Series exterior detailing and badging, bi-tone roof and a panoramic glass sunroof with opening front portion. Inside, ë-Series variants gain light grey Alcantara® R-Evolution fabric and leather-effect cloth and Next-Generation Advanced Comfort Seats with six-way electric driver seat adjustment. Both front seats are also heated. Ë-Series variants also benefit from the Drive Assist Pack and add Highway Driver Assist with Adaptive Cruise Control, Stop&Go with Active Lane Keeping Assist.

Ë-Series versions choose quality materials such as Alcantara® for the seat, backrest and armrests. This fabric adds to the perceived quality and warmth of the interior. Soft to the touch, it also provides better support for occupants. C5 Aircross ë-Series versions with the light grey interior ambience, the Alcantara® fabric is manufactured using an innovative process with 68% of its outer surface made of recycled fibres.

As with other Citroën models, C5 Aircross benefits from the Citroën Advanced Comfort® Programme, with enhanced suspension and supportive seating for a smoother ride. All versions of C5 Aircross feature Citroën’s Progressive Hydraulic Cushion® technology, which integrates hydraulic bump stops into the suspension system to better control compression and rebound on damaged surfaces.

Inside, New C5 Aircross comes as standard with Advanced Comfort® seats. With broad cushions and seat backs, they combine high-density foam at the heart of each seat, and a thick 15mm layer of extra textured foam on the surface, to keep occupants comfortable and relaxed when on the road.
