The limited-run Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale will make its UK public debut, its first public appearance outside of Italy, at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. It will be joined by the new Junior, the first fully-electric car from Alfa Romeo, at the Festival in July.
33 Stradale
Fresh off its recent win at the Concorso di Eleganza di Villa d’Este, where it scooped the coveted Design Concept Award, the 33 Stradale will be on display near the Supercar Paddock in its first public outing at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Inspired by the historic 1967 model of the same name, 33 Stradale marks the return of Alfa Romeo to the world of ‘fuoriserie’ (custom-built) cars, only 33 examples will be produced. Designed by Alfa Romeo Centro Stile, each customer is working with the Alfa Romeo Bottega to create their unique and customised version of the car. The Bottega is inspired by Renaissance workshops and by 1960s coachbuilders, all of whom created works of art according to their clients’ requirements.
Customers of the 33 Stradale have been able to choose between a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 producing over 620hp or a fully-electric powertrain delivering over 750hp to power their car.
33 Stradale will be on display at the Festival of Speed, near the Supercar Paddock, for the duration of the event.
Alfa Romeo Junior
The new Alfa Romeo Junior, the first to feature a fully electric powertrain, will also be at the Festival of Speed, on display in Electric Avenue. Junior is sporty at heart, compact in size and Italian at first sight. Available with a choice of two power outputs, 156hp and up to 250-mile range (WLTP) or the sportier 280hp with up to 215 miles of range (WLTP). Both versions feature the epitome of the Alfa Romeo sporting DNA. Charging the new Junior is quick and simple, with a 10-80% charge from a 100kW rapid charger completed in less than 30 minutes.
Building on the lowest weight in the segment and optimal mass distribution, Junior enters the world of electric cars like a true Alfa Romeo with best-in-class road holding. The Veloce version features the most direct steering in the segment (14.6), calibrated to be extremely precise and to enhance its exceptional road holding qualities. The sports suspension has been lowered by 25mm, the front and rear anti-roll bars guarantee quick cornering with a high level of grip, the braking system has front discs of over 380mm with four-piston monobloc calipers, while the Torsen differential offers the best possible traction in all conditions.
The Junior is available in a choice of three trim levels, Junior Elettrica and Speciale both feature the 156hp powertrain, and the Veloce with the 280hp power output. Orders for the Elettrica and Speciale are now open.
In addition to appearing at the Festival of Speed, Alfa Romeo Junior will tour the country this summer giving the public an opportunity to experience it in person for the first time in the UK. The roadshow will include locations in Bristol, Birmingham, Leicester and at The O2, London. To find out more and to see the full list of locations, visit www.alfaromeo.co.uk/roadshow.
