ALFA 156s MAINTAIN RACE LEAD
Italian sporting car manufacturer Alfa Romeo, which is currently leading this year's prestigious European Touring Car Championship with its Nordauto Team Alfa 156s, maintained its lead in the championship at Silverstone last Sunday,

Italian sporting car manufacturer Alfa Romeo, which is currently leading this year's prestigious European Touring Car Championship with its Nordauto Team Alfa 156s, maintained its lead in the championship at Silverstone last Sunday, (13 May), with two second places for Fabrizio Giovanardi, and third and fifth places for series leader, Nicola Larini.
After four rounds – in Italy (Monza), Czechoslovakia (Brno), France (Magny Cours) and UK (Silverstone) – Alfa Romeo’s Nicola Larini, (280 pts), still leads the driver's championship ahead of Giovanardi, while Alfa Romeo continues to lead the Manufacturers’ title.
Round Five of the 10-round championship is at Zolder in the Netherlands on 20 May.
