Another starting grid with large numbers for the arrival at the Piero Taruffi circuit, Vallelunga, for the 3rd event in the Italian F.4 Championship Powered by Abarth season. On the Italian capital’s circuit, located a few kilometers from Rome, the challenge will light up between Oliver Bearman (GBR – Van Amersfoort Racing), two-time winner at Misano; Leonardo Fornaroli (ITA – Iron Lynx), winner in race 1 and twice on the podium in round 2; and Tim Tramnitz (GER – US Racing) who, after his double at the Paul Ricard, returns to the Italian series to try to regain the leadership. But it will not only be the three of them to feature at Vallelunga, with Sebastian Montoya (COL – Prema Powerteam) called on to confirm his excellent performance at Misano, and his teammate Kirill Smal (RUS – Prema Powerteam) ready to rebound after a start to the season full of ups and downs. From Friday, June 25th to Sunday, June 27th, the Tatuus chassis powered by the 1400-cc, 160-hp Abarth 414TF engine with Pirelli tires will take to the track for a blazing weekend of high temperatures and a schedule that includes many kilometers to be run. Eight hours of joint trials testing will open the weekend in Rome on Friday with teams that, in addition to the big names in the championship, will also bring to the track certain drivers who are promising for the future. On Saturday, the 2 free practice sessions and the official qualifiers will decide the starting grids of the 3 races, due to kick off at 9:00 am, 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm on Sunday, June 27th.

The battle is pitched for the lead in the overall rankings, and so is the one reserved for the rookies, who include Lorenzo Patrese (ITA – AKM Motorsport), leading the standings with 72 points, just 2 ahead of Jonas Ried (GER – BWT Muecke Motorsport), and 5 in front of Leonardo Bizzotto (ITA – BVM Racing). Also in the top 5 are Kacper Sztuka (POL – AS Motorsport) and Maya Weug (NDL – Iron Lynx), both within 11 points of the leader.

In addition to the return of US Racing, which will take Tim Tramnitz and Vlad Lomko to the track, another natural heir will make his debut in the series at Vallelunga to follow Lorenzo Patrese and Sebastian Montoya: the Austrian Charlie Wurz, son of the former F1 driver and two-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Alexander Wurz.
