A Stellantis e a Dongfeng reforçam a sua parceria histórica na China e além-fronteiras

Amesterdão e Wuhan, 15 de Maio de 2026 – A Stellantis e o Grupo Dongfeng anunciaram hoje a assinatura de um acordo de cooperação estratégica para expandir a sua parceria de 34 anos, através da produção conjunta de veículos Peugeot e Jeep® na China, destinados ao mercado chinês e à comercialização a nível mundial. A Stellantis e o Grupo Dongfeng assinaram também um memorando de entendimento estratégico não vinculativo para reforçar ainda mais a sua cooperação, tirando partido da dimensão, da experiência e das capacidades de I&D de ambas as partes no setor.
Nos termos do acordo de cooperação estratégica assinado hoje, e sujeito às aprovações necessárias e à finalização dos acordos de implementação relevantes, prevê-se que a joint venture Dongfeng Peugeot Citroën Automobile Co., Ltd (”DPCA”) comece a produzir inicialmente, na sua fábrica de Wuhan, dois veículos de novas energias, totalmente inéditos, da marca Peugeot, a partir de 2027. Estes veículos terão como base a mais recente linguagem de design dos novos protótipos revelados pela Peugeot no Salão Automóvel de Pequim de 2026. Estes produtos destinam-se ao mercado chinês e à exportação para os mercados globais, no âmbito do plano de crescimento internacional da Peugeot.
O plano inclui também a produção inicial, na fábrica da DPCA em Wuhan, de dois veículos todo-o-terreno de novas energias da marca Jeep® destinados aos mercados globais, a partir de 2027.
Impulsionado pelas políticas industriais favoráveis ao setor automóvel na província de Hubei e no município de Wuhan, o projeto corresponde a um investimento combinado superior a 8 mil milhões de yuans chineses (aproximadamente mil milhões de euros), para o qual a Stellantis deverá contribuir com cerca de 130 milhões de euros.
“Com um historial de mais de 30 anos de colaboração e partilha de conhecimentos no setor automóvel, a Stellantis e a Dongfeng estão prontas para alavancar ainda mais os seus pontos fortes e lançar veículos totalmente novos com tecnologias de ponta para veículos elétricos, de marcas nas quais os clientes de todo o mundo confiam e pelas quais se apaixonam”, afirmou Antonio Filosa, CEO da Stellantis. “Estamos ansiosos pela concretização deste projeto e por colaborar ainda mais no futuro.”

A implementação do projeto está sujeita à celebração dos acordos de implementação relevantes, incluindo princípios económicos e operacionais, e ao cumprimento das condições e aprovações habituais.
