Middle East - The 500 Family Hits Three Million Sales in Europe

 

  • Landmark achievement features extraordinary line-up that includes the Fiat 500 and 500X models
  • Top-of-the-range Fiat 500 Star and Rockstar versions are set to arrive in Middle East showrooms in the fourth quarter of this year.

 

Italy - June 20th 2019: Fiat has achieved another global milestone with the sale of its three millionth Fiat 500 vehicle in Europe, a record-breaking achievement that comes hot on the heels of last month's announcement that it has now built half a million Fiat 500X models.

 

It is yet another record for the popular Fiat line-up that includes the iconic 500, the urban car for customers seeking style and mobility, and the 500X, the all-Italian crossover for daily metropolitan adventures. The world-renowned Italian city cars have a passionate fan base across the world, with 62% of sales outside Italy, which is still the largest market followed by UK, France, Germany and Spain.

 

The milestone was achieved with the production of an exclusive new Fiat 500C Star convertible sporting a Stella White livery embellished with pink hues. The exterior colour combination perfectly matches its black and white sand interiors and the elegant Matelassé finish with eco-leather details and a burgundy embroidered 500 logo. The Star version is one of two new top-of-range 500 series, along with the Rockstar, that are set to arrive in Middle East showrooms in the fourth quarter of this year.

 

A symbol of Italian manufacturing and recognised worldwide as the expression of style, continuous innovation and premium quality, the Fiat 500 has broken the traditional rules of its market, demonstrating that a small city car can become a global triumph and spawn a family of fun, accessible cars to maximise freedom of choice and use. One of the secrets of the Fiat brand's success has been its ability to explore new territories, creating a family of cars which are very different in terms of vocation, shape and personality but that all share the same, unmistakable Fiat 500 mould.

 

Also in the spotlight in light of its record-breaking achievements is the New 500X, which was completely refreshed last January to continue playing a leading role in the brand's success. The 500X has led its segment in Italy and been a permanent fixture in the European top ten since its launch in 2014. Pride of Italian car manufacturing, the new Fiat 500X blends timeless style and design with innovative technology able to satisfy the very latest mobility needs.

 

The Fiat 500 line up is available at showrooms across the Middle East.
