Fiat Grande Panda has been awarded the title of “Auto Europa 2026”, the prize presented by the Italian Union of Automotive Journalists (UIGA), which for 40 years has celebrated innovation, design, and quality.

FIAT is proud to announce that the Grande Panda has been selected among the seven finalists for the prestigious Car of the Year 2026 award.
Out of 35 contenders, the 60 jury members from 23 European countries have chosen the models they consider most deserving of the continental title. After the first major evaluation phase during the Tannistest in Denmark last September, the finalists have now been officially revealed, and the Fiat Grande Panda stands proudly among them.

FIAT will produce the Grande Panda at its Tafraoui plant in CKD (Completely-Knocked-Down) format, to meet the mobility needs of Algerian families.

In Algeria for Algeria, the Fiat Grande Panda will be the first CKD vehicle ever produced in the history of the country and will start with a local integration rate of 20%, with Stellantis actively engaged in raising this figure above 30% by 2026.

Local mass production is scheduled to start in the following months, with pre-series manufactured by the end of September.
