June 14, 2023 – Stellantis, one of the world's leading automakers and a mobility provider, and
Salvador Caetano, one of the largest automobile groups in Sub-Saharan region with a long
heritage in the industry, have recently entered into a partnership agreement aimed at initiating
Circular Economy activities for Peugeot and Citroën brands in Angola.

With this partnership, Stellantis team achieved a significant milestone in the sub-Saharan zone
by becoming the first automaker to spearhead Circular Economy initiatives. As one of the seven
accretive business units announced in the Stellantis' Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan, the
Circular Economy Business Unit is expanding its rigorous, 360-degree approach based on the
4R strategy – reman, repair, reuse, and recycle – to meet the Company’s ethical responsibilities
for the future, and to bring financial value to Stellantis.

Circular Economy aims to extend the life of vehicles and parts, ensuring that they last for as long
as possible in order to preserve scarce resources and reduce waste and CO2 emissions by
remanufacturing, repairing and reusing parts rather than automatically replacing them with new
ones, finally recycling them when all other options have been investigated. Stellantis, as a
pioneering force in sub-Saharan Africa, has embarked in this effort with one of its historical
partners, Salvador Caetano Africa, an importer and distributor of Citroën, Fiat, Jeep®, and
Peugeot vehicles across multiple African countries, including Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde,
Zambia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, among others.

This collaboration is the first step towards the introduction and expansion of Circular Economy
principles specifically related to the Peugeot and Citroën brands in Angola, focusing on the
"Reman" pillar. Reman parts refer to used, worn, or defective components that undergo
meticulous disassembly, cleaning, and remanufacturing processes to meet original equipment
manufacturer (OEM) specifications, same performance and warranty as original parts.

Through this partnership, both companies are committed to providing high-quality remanufactured
parts easily accessible to consumers, providing cost-effective alternatives that maintain the
performance and reliability of their vehicles. A commitment that is in total alignment with the
promises of the SUSTAINera label which covers all the Group’s Circular Economy activities and
represents the dedicated range of parts as a sustainable addition in the Company’s aftersales
spare parts offer, without compromising on quality, while preserving the environment through
decreased waste and less use of our planet’s resources.

SUSTAINera label in fact indicates a savings of up to 80% materials and 50% non-emitted CO2
as compared to their equivalent new parts*.
For these reasons Circular Economy Business Unit plays a key role in the Stellantis’ ambitious
decarbonization strategy to reach Carbon Net Zero by 2038.

Stellantis and Caetano's collaboration in Angola not only represents a significant milestone for
both entities but also embodies a transformative shift towards sustainable automotive practices
in the sub-Saharan zone. By embracing the Circular Economy, Stellantis remains at the forefront
of innovation, actively shaping a better future through a responsible business as it transforms to
sustainable mobility tech company.
