www.jeep-people.com is dedicated to those who recognize themselves in the values ​​of freedom, adventure, authenticity, passion and uniqueness of the legendary American brand leader of off-road driving, that celebrates this year its 70th anniversary. The new portal will be the virtual space where Jeep enthusiasts can share their challenges and it will provide insights on the iconic Jeep Wrangler and the brand's legendary heritage. Starting Sunday June 19th, www.jeep-people.com will follow the adventure of Alex Bellini and his Jeep Wrangler Unlimited in the LA-NY Footrace 2011 providing daily updates on the race, videos and photo-galleries.

Today the go-live at www.jeep-people.com of the new portal dedicated to Jeep enthusiasts. The new website goes live 70 hours before the start of the trans-American challenge of Alex Bellini. Starting Sunday, June 19th, the Italian sportsman will participate with a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited by his side to the Los Angeles - New York Footrace 2011, the ultramarathon in 70 stages of 70 km each that will take place in 70 days. At the end of the countdown, www.jeep-people.com will follow the daily performance of Alex Bellini and provide updates on the various stages of the race, through the reports of the protagonist, videos and pictures.

 The new portal is a virtual space, where those who identify themselves with the values ​​of freedom, adventure, authenticity, passion and uniqueness of the Jeep brand can meet, share stories of their talent and propose new challenges such as the one involving Alex Bellini.

The new web portal presents three sections: one dedicated to the trans-American challenge of Alex Bellini; one to the Jeep Heritage; and a third one reserved to the interaction with the 'Jeep people': the fans of the American brand who live its core values in their everyday experiences and want to demonstrate that they have the 'J factor'.

The section dedicated to Alex Bellini is a diary-style blog where the protagonist and his team post daily reports of their trans-American adventure. Every day, the race results will be available on the portal, enhanced with pictures and videos. In addition, thanks to the Garmin Connect online platform, details of Alex Bellini's performance will be available at the end of each stage. Both planimetric and altimetric data will be provided as also information on the athlete's pace speed, cadence, heart rate and several other physiological parameters including the daily consumption of calories.

Jeep Wrangler Unlimited will be Alex Bellini's support car during the trans-American adventure. A microsite dedicated to the Jeep icon will be available within the portal. Here, user can learn more about the product features of this model as they travel across the United States. A journey within the journey, moving from city to desert, the site will offer to the users the possibility to enjoy the most beautiful US landscapes 

The Heritage section of the portal presents the most important milestones in the Jeep history and it will be regularly updated with detailed information on the Jeep models. It will also offer the stories of innovation that in seven decades contributed to the evolution of the brand.

The last section is dedicated to the interaction with the Jeep fans. It is the 'place' where users will have to demonstrate that they have the "J factor" and therefore can aim at seeing their own story published on the portal. Here, users can submit their challenges to the Jeep brand and explain why Jeep should choose their talent as it did with Alex Bellini. This section will be soon updated with new initiatives, activities and competitions dedicated to Jeep enthusiasts.
