FIAT Group Automobiles Announces Online Competition
FIAT Group Automobiles announces new collaboration with Our Future Mobility Now project. Online competition encourages eco-responsible driving in next generation of drivers. Interactive Webinar on topic of sustainable transport planned for April 27th. Participants encouraged to engage via website and social media.
FIAT Group Automobiles has announced details of a new online competition where the winner gets to enjoy a special weekend for two in Turin, Italy.
The "eco:Drive Virtual Challenge" is an online game which runs until April 27th 2012 and is accessible via the "Our Future Mobility Now" website: www.futuremobilitynow.com
In addition to being a fun game, the "eco:Drive Virtual Challenge" is also an incentive to encourage eco-friendly and responsible driving, culminating in a dedicated Webinar on April 27th during which the winner will be announced.
Webinar participants will also be able to interact in real time with some of FIAT's experts* who will be online from 14:30 (GMT) to explain the research and initiatives undertaken by Fiat Group Automobiles' to lower the CO2 output of its vehicles over its entire lifecycle as well as discuss the challenges that climate change represents.
Participation is possible through the Facebook pages of both FIAT (facebook.com/fiat) and "Our Future Mobility Now" (facebook.com/fumono); Twitter (#OFMNwebinar) and the video chats enabled on the "Our Future Mobility Now" site during the webinars.
Aimed predominantly at the youth of Europe, the decision was made to let FIAT's young professionals talk to their peers about the issue of sustainability mobility from a personal and professional perspective in individual video interviews.

The Our Future Mobility Now project is coordinated by ACEA, the European automotive industry's trade association, and brings the next generation of drivers together with Europe's leading vehicle manufacturers. Aimed at people in the 18-30 age bracket, OFMN imagines how the vehicles and transport we use will evolve and influence 21st Century life.
For the fifth year running, FIAT has recorded the lowest level of CO2 emissions by vehicles sold in Europe in 2011, with an average value of 118.2 g/km (4.9 g/km less than the 2010 average). Fiat also ranked first as Group, with 123.3 g/km, an improvement of 2.6 g/km on last year, as certified by JATO Dynamics, the world's leading automotive consultancy and research firm.
