With more than 1,000 entries recorded in six months across the eleven Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cups held in ten countries—including France, Italy, Belgium, Canada, and the United States—the success of the Stellantis SMRC4 and SMRC6 Development Series continues unabated. Worldwide, 50% of the cars entered in rallies since January have come from the Stellantis Group!
After three rounds of the SMRC4 France series, the battle is in full swing in the U30 category, where the winner will earn a spot in the 2027 French Championship driving a Lancia Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale. Young Alexandre Villiod (18) leads ahead of Loïc Costes and Mattéo Codaccioni, who have re-entered the title race following their strong showing at the Rallye Terre de Lozère. The season’s final stretch will now consist entirely of asphalt events, featuring the Rallye Cœur de France, the Critérium des Cévennes, and the Rallye d’Automne. In the Expert class, Patrick Magnou leads with 27 points.
In its second French season, the SMRC6 is particularly competitive, as the three championship leaders—Romain Perrin, Tristan Pieri, and Quentin Dumoulin—are separated by just four points after two rounds (Rallye du Touquet, Rallye de Dieppe). The end of the season, mirroring that of the SMRC4, promises to be thrilling on the special stages of Touraine, the Cévennes, and Charente-Maritime, where the winner—who will have claimed six SMRC4 2027 events—will be crowned as part of the Competition Section of Lycée Saint-Vallier.
On average, two rounds remain to be contested out of the eleven Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cups held across three continents and ten countries (France, Italy, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Hungary, the United Kingdom, Argentina, Canada, and the U.S.). Since the beginning of the year, Stellantis has recorded 2,155 Peugeot, 639 Lancia, and 463 Opel vehicles in the Rally4 and Rally6 categories at the start of various rallies held around the world. These impressive figures demonstrate Stellantis’s strong commitment to the sport of rallying.
Jean-Marc Vinatier (Manager of the Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup)
“At the midpoint of the season, both Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup France series are doing well and reaffirming their success, with 35 drivers competing in each of the two cups. These particularly competitive fields highlight the growing appeal of these championships among competitors. In both the SMRC4 and SRMC6, the gaps in the overall standings remain particularly tight. With the final three rallies approaching, five drivers in each cup can still legitimately contend for the title. The battle for the championship is heating up; every point will count in the race for the 2026 titles, promising an exciting end to the season and a first-rate sporting spectacle.”
