The PSA Peugeot Citroën Foundation first call for proposals for community garages
The PSA Peugeot Citroën Foundation has issued a call for proposals concerning community garages in order to increase the support it provides to socially useful initiatives.
A €200,000 budget will be earmarked for projects that meet the specifications of the Foundation's call for proposals, focused on non-profit organisations that aid the most disadvantaged communities and promote social inclusion through economic activity.
The Foundation will also give material support and donate skills to the organisations concerned and, wherever possible, put the winning entrants in touch with other groups involved in inclusive mobility and with garages in the Peugeot and Citroën network across France.
Proposals can be submitted between 1 and 31 March 2016 via the Foundation website at www.fondation-psa-peugeot-citroen.org.
The site also provides the practical information that interested entrants in France and the European Union will need in order to submit proposals.
The results will be announced in the first half of May.
The PSA Peugeot Citroën Foundation is keenly aware that between six and eight million economically disadvantaged people in France have poor access to mobility solutions. With this initiative, it is seeking to:
- • Set up and develop new community garages across France in order to expand the regional network
- • Support existing garages, notably financially and/or by providing equipment and/or human resources
- • Assist with initiatives for exchanging or disseminating best practices
- • Enhance professional skills across this fast-growing sector of the socially responsible economy
- • Improve mobility and social inclusion for disadvantaged communities.
