Created in 2009, the jury of the Women's World Car of the Year is made up of 50 women, journalists from the automotive sector who come from 38 different countries and 5 continents.

Firstly, these journalists chose the 3 best cars in each category.

At the end of the second round, the PEUGEOT 208 emerged as the winner in the best city car category against the Toyota Yaris and the Honda Jazz.

Elected Car of the Year 2020 and having already won 24 awards, the PEUGEOT 208 emerges at the heart of the B segment by contributing to the success of the PEUGEOT range. Its sporty look and meticulous design give it a high-end character that fits perfectly with the PEUGEOT brand's move upmarket.

At the end of January 2021, 265,000 PEUGEOT 208s had been sold worldwide since its launch.

Again at the end of the second round, the PEUGEOT 2008 is voted the winner in the best urban SUV category against the Renault Captur and the kia Sonet.

As a symbol of status and identity, the PEUGEOT 2008 is completely in line with the style of the PEUGEOT range while emphasising its own personality. The car sits well on its wheels and displays a powerful and distinctive style.

By the end of January 2021, 203,000 units of the PEUGEOT 2008 had been sold worldwide since its launch.

The PEUGEOT 208 and 2008 are also playing their part in the era of energy transition as they come in both petrol (petrol and diesel) and electric versions.

These 2 vehicles were chosen according to the following criteria: safety, comfort, technologies and connectivity, quality/price ratio, environmental impact and design.

The PEUGEOT 208 and 2008 are therefore in the race for the final election of the Women's World Car of the Year, the results of which will be announced on 8 March 2021 on International Women's Day.
