The one-millionth PEUGEOT 2008 rolls off the production line at Mulhouse

Six years after the launch of the PEUGEOT 2008 SUV, one of the brand’s top sellers, the PSA Group’s Mulhouse plant has produced the one-millionth model. Jean-Philippe Imparato, Chief Executive Officer of the PEUGEOT brand, presented the keys of the one-millionth PEUGEOT 2008 to Ms. C. Jung on Wednesday 9 January 2019.

The PEUGEOT 2008 is currently produced on three continents – in Europe, China and Latin America – but its story began in 2013 at the Mulhouse production site, which today is celebrating the production of the one-millionth model. The PEUGEOT 2008 has been “Origine France Garantie” certified since launch, with 62% of its components manufactured in France.

Produced in over 1,210,250 units worldwide, the PEUGEOT 2008 quickly won over customers in all its sales countries. And the model continues to be a major success, ranking top-three in the B-SUV segment in Europe 30 countries.

The Mulhouse plant produces 780 units of PEUGEOT 2008 a day, manufacturing a total of 193,000 in 2018.

Jean-Philippe Imparato, Chief Executive Officer of the PEUGEOT brand, presented the keys of the one-millionth PEUGEOT 2008 – a white Crossway PureTech 130 S&S with a six-speed manual gearbox – to Ms. C. Jung, a loyal customer of the PSA Retail subsidiary in Mulhouse.
