Restoring a PEUGEOT 205 GTi with Aventure PEUGEOT

For PEUGEOT’s 210th anniversary, the Aventure PEUGEOT association has set up a new activity: restoring and selling vintage vehicles. The vehicles will be restored in the workshops at the Musée de l’Aventure Peugeot in Sochaux and will receive a certificate of authenticity at the end of the restoration before being put on sale.

The first car to be chosen for restoration is an iconic car for the lion brand: the black PEUGEOT 205 GTi with a 1.9L engine. This restoration will be carried out in the Aventure PEUGEOT workshops in Sochaux, and will highlight the talent and know-how of the employees specialised in the different trades essential for a quality restoration: mechanics, shapers, saddlers and sheet metal workers.

This new activity is only possible thanks to the supply of spare parts. Aventure PEUGEOT has been working in this field for seven years and has transformed its logistics warehouse to build up its stock. The association will be calling upon its traditional subcontractors to provide any missing parts and additive 3D manufacturing is always an option if the part can no longer be produced.

From 2021, a space dedicated to quality restored vehicles stamped "Par l'Aventure PEUGEOT" will be set up in the association's platform, www.laventurepeugeotcitroends.fr. Private vehicles will also be made available on this space once they have received the "quality" label.
