Peugeot World Endurance Championship (WEC) driver Loic Duval will take the wheel of Peugeot 208 Rally4 for his first ever rally during the final round of the 208 Rally Cup at Rallye du Var, November 26th-28th.
24 Hours of Le Mans winner and WEC champion, Duval will take to the grid with Peugeot 9X8 in 2022.

Florent Todeschini, the newly-crowned French Junior Rally Champion, is set to discover the potential of the 208 Rally4 this coming weekend on the tricky roads of the Parc des Cévennes in the Montpellier region, at round six of the 208 Rally Cup France. Hugo Margaillan (U29) and Armand Fumal (Gentlemen Drivers) will be fighting to win the title in their respective categories.

The 208 Rally4 was an instant hit with rally drivers on its competitive bow in 2020, with its sporty design and first class performances enabling them to fight at the front in the two-wheel drive categories. Peugeot Sport did not have to wait long to celebrate the sparkling success of its latest ‘best-seller’, as it conquered both the French Gravel Rally Championship and Italy’s two wheel-drive class in 2020. This year, upcoming stars and gentlemen drivers alike will have the opportunity to battle for 2WD glory in no fewer than seven ‘Cups’ throughout Europe and Latin America – while tackling a wide variety of specialist surfaces.

Partners for 25 years, PEUGEOT Sport and TOTAL have released the main technical characteristics of the powertrain of their Hypercar LMH for the FIA WORLD ENDURANCE CHAMPIONSHIP (FIA WEC). Their respective teams have pooled their experience and expertise in the fields of hybridization and world-class motor racing to develop a powertrain (PEUGEOT HYBRID4 500KW) that complies with the new FIA WEC regulations. The main features of the PEUGEOT HYBRID4 500KW are: — hybrid technology, with a mid-rear, 2.6-litre, 500 kW (680 horsepower), twin-turbo, V6, petrol internal combustion engine combined with a front-mounted 200 kW motor generator unit, — a high-power-density battery co-developed jointly by PEUGEOT Sport, Total, and its subsidiary Saft, — four-wheel drive transmission and a sequential seven-speed gearbox, — smart powertrain and energy flow management, a key to high performance and developed under the direction of François Coudrain, PEUGEOT Sport’s WEC Program Powertrain Director.

Peugeot Sport Customer Racing rounded off the track racing season with a double podium at the final round of the TCR Europe at Jarama. It was a weekend that was entirely in keeping with 2020, which – despite being hampered by the Covid-19 pandemic – saw Peugeot Sport customers continue to demonstrate their unwavering passion for racing on behalf of the brand and produce several fine performances.
