Rüsselsheim.  VINCI Energies is future-proofing its own Building Solutions fleet with electric vehicles from Opel. Opel Germany boss Andreas Marx has handed over the first of 30 Opel Vivaro-e panel vans to Stefan Falk, Managing Director of VINCI Energies Deutschland Building Solutions, in Rüsselsheim. The zero-emission Vivaro-e vans are the first electric light commercial vehicles in the fleet. From now on, they will be used by customer service staff from VINCI Energies Building Solutions on installation and service tours in Germany.

"We are pleased to contribute to making the fleet of the respected VINCI Energies Group sustainably mobile with the Opel Vivaro-e. Our battery-electric van combines excellent LCV qualities with zero-emission operation. This is a perfect fit for a company like VINCI Energies, which promotes resource-saving solutions," said Andreas Marx during the vehicle handover at Opel's Rüsselsheim headquarters.

“Our group’s move towards climate neutrality is an important value in the corporate policy of VINCI Energies”, said Stefan Falk, Managing Director of VINCI Energies Deutschland Building Solutions. “This is why we have decided to convert our fleet into climate-neutral vehicles. We have found the right partners in Stellantis and Opel and we are looking forward to a good cooperation.”

Opel LCV all-rounder with up to 329 kilometres driving range in WLTP cycle1

VINCI Energies customer service staff can also rely on the familiar virtues of the light commercial vehicle in the battery-electric version of the Opel Vivaro. The Vivaro-e L, with a length of 5.30 metres, can carry up to almost 930 kilograms of payload and material up to 2.75-metres in length. Around half of the 30 Vivaro-e vans will also be fitted with Sortimo workshop equipment. The zero-emission vans are not only suitable for the so-called “last mile” in city centres, but also for extended overland journeys to customers. The 75 kWh battery installed in the underbody provides enough energy for a range of up to 329 kilometres (WLTP). In addition, the electric motor produces 100 kW/136 hp of power and develops 260 Newton metres of torque from a standstill.

Safety is a top priority in the Opel Vivaro-e. In addition to the standard assistance systems such as cruise control, speed limiter and drowsiness detection, all VINCI Vivaro-e vans are equipped with blind spot warning, front and rear park assist and a 180-degree rear view camera. Comfort on the daily tour is enhanced by heated seats for the driver and front passenger, as well as by the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible Multimedia Radio infotainment system.

The Vivaro-e vans are Opel's first commercial vehicles in the VINCI fleet. The group has been driving various Opel passenger car models for years, including several hundred Opel Insignia Sports Tourer, Opel Grandland and Opel Astra Sports Tourer, the latest generation of which is already available to order and will soon arrive at dealerships. The VINCI Group receives expert support from the Opel partner Dürkop GmbH in Magdeburg.
