Opel Launches Voluntary Leave Program

Rüsselsheim. An attractive severance package will be offered from now on to Opel employees of all areas at the German locations, following programs for partial retirement (ATZ) and early retirement (Senior Leave) already implemented since last December. This voluntary leave program has been agreed by the management and the works council within the framework of the arbitration office.

"Step by step, we are building a sustainable future for our company in Germany through enhanced competitiveness like we are doing currently across Europe," says Opel CEO Michael Lohscheller. The voluntary leave program is in line with the Pace! Plan objective to avoid forced redundancies and plant closures.
