Opel Holds First Diversity Event in Rüsselsheim
Shaping the future together: For a working environment without prejudices
Rüsselsheim. Opel is counting on the diversity of its employees and the Rüsselsheim-based carmaker is taking advantage of their experiences, perspectives and competencies in the planning, development and manufacturing of its vehicles. An active discussion on diversity is set to play a concrete role in the success of the company. Therefore, Opel is hosting an event on diversity for the first time on June 28, which will give all employees at the Rüsselsheim site the chance to inform themselves and play an active role.
“We value the diversity of our employees. They reflect the diversity of our customers and that helps us shape Opel’s future because the future is everyone’s,” said Anke Felder, Managing Director Human Resources and Labour Director Opel Automobile GmbH.
The Opel management appreciates the differences of the employees and encourages them to use this diversity to shape the company. The carmaker already signed the “Charta of Diversity” for workplace diversity in 2007. Opel is thus part of the largest network for diversity management in Germany with the goal of creating a working environment without prejudices.
