Modena, 3 February 2026 - Maserati’s participation in The I.C.E. St. Moritz 2026 has concluded with an outstanding result. The event, one of the most exclusive automotive gatherings on the international calendar, took place last week on the iconic frozen lake of St. Moritz.
After capturing the attention of the public and industry professionals alike with the world premiere of the Maserati MCPURA Cielo FROZEN MAGMA, a one-of-a-kind bespoke model created through the Maserati Fuoriserie programme, the Trident brand also took centre stage at the International Concours of Elegance dedicated to historic cars, claiming the Best in Class title in the Open Wheels category with the legendary 1949 Maserati 4CLT.
Chaired by Marco Makaus, co-founder of The I.C.E., and composed of leading experts in classic cars alongside renowned international designers, the Jury rewarded not only the 4CLT’s stylistic and technical excellence, but also its extraordinary historical and symbolic value, recognising it as one of the most authentic expressions of the Trident’s racing DNA. A direct evolution of the Maserati 4CL and produced in just 21 units between 1948 and 1950, the 4CLT stands as one of the most advanced post-war Grand Prix single-seaters, thanks to pioneering solutions for its time such as the tubular steel chassis and the four-cylinder engine supercharged by Roots-type compressors.
The dual presence of Maserati at The I.C.E. - spanning bespoke avant-garde and sporting heritage - thus gave rise to a coherent and powerful narrative, perfectly expressing the inseparable combination of Italian luxury and racing spirit that has always defined the Trident brand. An iconic symbol that this year celebrates one hundred years since its first appearance on a racing car, the Maserati Tipo 26 at the Targa Florio in 1926, where it made its debut by winning its class.
This narrative forms part of a long-term strategic vision for the Italian brand, finding its fullest expression in the universe of BOTTEGAFUORISERIE, the new Maserati - together with Alfa Romeo - project that brings together Bottega’s few-off creations, the extreme personalisation of Fuoriserie, an extraordinary heritage, and racing know-how, conceived as a continuous pursuit of innovation and performance.
Finally sealing Maserati’s triumph at the Swiss event was the warm reception from the public for the Trident’s most prestigious and high-performance models displayed within The I.C.E. Village: MCPURA Coupé, MCPURA Cielo, GT2 Stradale, GranTurismo Meccanica Lirica One-Off and GranCabrio Meccanica Lirica One-Off. Among the vehicles on display was an exceptional MC12, whose appearance stirred the audience’s enthusiasm in a remarkably compelling manner.
In addition, selected Maserati models took centre stage in thrilling dynamic experiences on the frozen lake, offering guests a truly one-of-a-kind driving experience, fully expressing the Brand’s character and elegance.
