  • Both cars celebrate the high-performance V8 engine, by passing the baton to electric production at the Trident

  • Limited edition of 103 units for each model: Ghibli 334 Ultima, and Levante V8 Ultima in Nero Assoluto and Blu Royale colours
  • Since 1959, when the Maserati 5000 GT was presented as the first car with the V8 engine, more than 100,000 units with an eight-cylinder engine have been made and sold
  • Unmistakable sound and blistering performance; the heartbeat of some of the most outstanding cars in the history of motoring, which has made its mark on the brand’s history

The Maserati Ghibli 334 Ultima and Levante V8 Ultima are the last chance to drive the V8 engine and become the owner of one of the 103 limited editions of the two Maserati produced to celebrate the past and mark the passage to the new era of electrification. This is how an engine that has written chapters in the history of mobility and of the Italian luxury brand becomes a gem for collectors.

The first Maserati equipped with a V8 engine was the 5000 GT Scià di Persia in 1959 – and 103 was the exact number reserved for this memorable project, which now defines the limited production of these two Ultima models – with its charming and elegant Blu Sera paintwork. Created to meet the requirements of one royal client, the Shah of Persia, it quickly became an object of desire for customers who could finally buy the car of their dreams: a 3500 with a bigger and more powerful heart, the 450S’s V8 engine, increased to 5 litres.

Maserati Ghibli 334 Ultima
Since its debut in 1967, the Maserati Ghibli has epitomised beauty and commercial success. A car ready for the customers of the beat revolution, offering great performance and visual impact, with a renewal of the shapes and geometric surfaces, accompanied by extra horsepower and style. The elegant, sporty and original line of the Ghibli, characterised by unparalleled on-board comfort, was the common denominator for the models of the coming decades, as a veritable glorification of the high-end sedan segment. The 8-cylinder engine did the rest.

The Maserati Ghibli 334 Ultima is dedicated to drivers hungering for exclusivity in terms of both style and performance. The already excellent base has been enhanced to bring the driving experience to a higher level, focusing on the aerodynamics of the vehicle and on the few discreet and elegant details that make it a gem among the special editions produced by the Trident.

The “secret” lies in the name itself: 334, referring to the car’s top speed. A new achievement that makes it the fastest sedan in the world, making a leap to the top of rankings, rising from 326 to 334 km/h. Plus, to optimise the car from the point of view of improving the 0-100 km/h acceleration, from 4.3 to 3.9 seconds, a meticulous work has been done on the weight and tyres.
The Maserati Ghibli 334 Ultima is fitted with new performance tyres created using a special compound. The improvement of the aerodynamics is completed by the 21” Orione rims and the rear carbon fibre spoiler. The wheels and centre cap are in new matte dark graphite, with the Trident in the Rubino shade, standing out in the dark, whereas the brake callipers are glossy black.

On the exterior the car recalls the past and pays homage to the first V8 Maserati creation, flaunting the new Scià di Persia paintwork with Rubino accents, lighting up the painted 334 logo on the fender.
The Maserati Ghibli 334 Ultima now features the full carbon exterior kit as standard, including front bumper plates, door handles, mirror caps and B&C pillar.

And just in case the style accents were not enough, the interior recalls the classic once again, with the Pale Terracotta leather – reminiscent of the Senape leather iconic interior – surrounding the black vertical “cannelloni” in Alcantara in the centre of the seats.
The Trident and the 334 logos are stitched on the front headrest and the “magic number” also embellishes the badge on the central tunnel, along with the “una di 103” distinctive signature.

An elegant spirit driven by a sublime engine, making the Maserati Ghibli 334 Ultima an extraordinary final piece of pure performance.
