D&I Talk: Maserati battles prejudice and linguistic stereotypes

Maserati is fostering dialogue on issues of Diversity and Inclusion, by sharing stories from both these fields.

Modena, 22 September 2022 – Maserati is fostering dialogue on issues of Diversity and Inclusion, by sharing stories from both these fields.
The D&I Talk meeting held on last Tuesday, 20th September, in Modena at Roots – an inclusion laboratory, a social enterprise led by young people and a successful project from female entrepreneurs, designed to celebrate the cultural expression of food – served as an opportunity to emphasise the brand's values.

“For this brand, inclusion and diversity are core values to be a diverse team of people who can reflect the society around us”, noted Maria Conti, Maserati Chief Communication Officer. “We’re driven by our passion, uniqueness and innovation and want to create an inclusive climate, where everyone is respected and experiences a strong sense of belonging on a daily basis”.

The guest at the Maserati D&I Talk was Francesca Vecchioni, a social activist, founder of a non-profit association to disseminate the culture of inclusion and producer of the “Diversity Media Awards”.
The themes addressed were “allyship” and its meanings, to battle prejudice and linguistic stereotypes.

At the end of the meeting, there was a tasting of typical dishes from the Roots kitchen, following recipes that celebrate the cultural expression of food. The restaurant and its staff opened their doors to the Maserati Family, based on the shared vision of the significance of cultural identity and how food can become an inclusive experience.
