  • On June 8 and 9, the new Lancia dealerships will host the first Open House event dedicated to the new Ypsilon, allowing visitors to discover and test drive the full range of the new model.
  • The brand invitation is to personally test the unparalleled handling, efficiency, and performance of the new model.

  • Lancia ended May with 3,826 registrations; the Ypsilon was the second best-selling car in the B-segment and the third best-seller overall in Italy. In the January-May cumulative period, Lancia market share was 2.8%, a slight increase.

Everything is ready for the first Open House focusing on the New Ypsilon, that will take place on June 8 and 9 at the 160 renovated casa Lancia dealerships in Italy, which can easily be found on the brand’s official website. Featuring the new Lancia Corporate Identity, the new showrooms offer an increasingly premium customer experience, partly thanks to the renewed and certified Lancia sales team.

The event will give the public the opportunity to get up close and personal with the entire line-up of the first car in the brand’s new era, and to test drive it on the road. It will therefore be possible to appreciate the unrivaled handling, efficiency and performance of the New Ypsilon, a smart city car that stands out in the urban environment for its ease of driving and handling: agile in the city but also lots of fun on the twists and turns on a hill.

The line-up consists of three versions for three different types of customers: the elegant New Lancia Ypsilon, dedicated to younger customers; the New Lancia Ypsilon LX, the highest spec and fullest version; the NEW LANCIA YPSILON EDIZIONE CASSINA, for those who want to feel at home in the car. Each trim level of the New Lancia Ypsilon refers to the elegant yet sustainable concept of feeling at home, in perfect Lancia style, culminating in the exclusive NEW LANCIA YPSILON EDIZIONE CASSINA, the epitome of design, comfort, and well-being.

The sinuous shapes of the New Lancia Ypsilon are inspired by the models that have made history for the brand, just like the round taillights, a clear reference to the Lancia Stratos, and the iconic “chalice” on the front, now revisited in three beams of LED light. Not to mention the fact that the New Lancia Ypsilon is the first Stellantis production car with the S.A.L.A. system, the smart virtual interface that ensures a comfortable driving experience in line with Lancia’s effortless technology. The Italian brand's new creation is also best-in-class in the premium hatchback B-segment, courtesy of the most comprehensive specifications in its category: a large 10.25” display, the best standard parking aid system, and the greatest exterior lighting system in terms of technology and extent. It is also the only model in the segment equipped with Level 2 Autonomous Driving as standard.

Every version in the line-up is available in electric and hybrid configurations, making the model a segment leader in terms of versatility, efficiency, and respect for the environment. Specifically, the hybrid version is powered by a latest-generation hybrid engine, with a 100-hp (74-kW) 1.2-liter engine and 3-cylinder 48V technology, pairing maximum efficiency with the utmost reliability. Conversely, the 100% electric version embodies the brand’s vision in terms of range, charging time and efficiency for segment-leading performance. The model is equipped with a 156-hp/115-kW power unit and a 51-kWh battery, to ensure a range of up to 403 km (WLTP combined cycle) and fast charging in 24 minutes (from 20% to 80%) or enough for 100 km in 10 minutes.

The New Lancia Ypsilon is also an agile, dynamic car that can maintain remarkable grip and stability on the road, and is at the same time equipped with great comfort, guaranteeing a level of absolute premiumness. Specifically in terms of driving pleasure, the design and production team has widened the wheel track by 24 mm, to ensure better weight distribution and handling for the new model. The steering system has also been calibrated for the utmost driving precision, and work has been done to obtain a specific setup for the suspension, more dynamic but never too stiff.

Attending the Open House event will also provide the opportunity to discover the unmissable promotion that makes it possible to get behind the wheel of the New Ypsilon immediately, benefiting from the new government bonuses that have recently come into force. For example, when trading in a vehicle type-approved up to Euro 2, there will be access to the government bonus and to purchase the New Lancia Ypsilon Ibrida version1 for monthly installments of €130 for 36 months.  The bonus therefore bolsters the financing offer developed in collaboration with Stellantis Financial Services. When the financing expires, customers can optionally decide whether to keep the vehicle by making a balloon payment at a variable amount according to trim level or can alternatively return the car.

To accompany the Open House event, a new communication campaign dedicated to the New Lancia Ypsilon line-up: commercials, a press campaign, and a media plan on all channels in digital, print, and display formats. On air from June 2, the new commercial presents the New Lancia Ypsilon to the public as a masterpiece on the move, in terms of beauty, timeless design, and elegance. Specifically, in the video shot in the magnificence of Rome, the actors appear in iconic works from the history of art, including the renowned Lady with an Ermine by Leonardo da Vinci and Amedeo Modigliani’s Young Woman in a Yellow Dress (Madame Modot), shifting between slow motion and special lighting to create an ideal runway for the New Lancia Ypsilon. The evocative commercial refers to the same target audience as the New Lancia Ypsilon and its features: the car's customers are interested in beauty, style and technological innovation, pay attention to environmental issues, and are fashion-conscious.

Last but not least, remember that the Open House event focusing on the New Ypsilon will be taking place at the new Casa Lancia showrooms, veritable boutiques ready to welcome in customers by offering them an experience made up of beauty, design, and the Italian spirit, just like in an elegant Italian home. Featuring the new Lancia Corporate Identity, reflecting the four pillars underpinning the brand’s strategic plan – quality, electrification, sustainability, and an innovative sales model – these new Lancia spaces will offer an increasingly exclusive customer experience. Part of the responsibility lies with the renewed sales force, made up of dedicated and certified Lancia salespeople, for a premium and immersive purchase experience.

In the words of Raffaele Russo, Managing Director of Lancia in Italy: “The first Open House event focusing on the entire New Ypsilon line-up will give the public the opportunity to admire it up close and personal, but most of all to test drive it on the road. They are free to choose between a latest-generation hybrid engine or a full-electric configuration that leads the premium hatchback B-segment. I'd therefore like to invite everyone to visit Lancia showrooms, now fully renovated and made even more exclusive, for an engaging driving experience that has already received positive comments from the Italian press. Basically, it's the right time to restart with momentum aboard an all-new, modern Lancia car that looks ahead to the future with enthusiasm.”
